"La Campanella" Paganini/Liszt

I don't know that the sound is that good on this recording, but I like the little falling down dots.
Never mind the dots!

I can't keep up with the hands on the keyboard.

I never caught on to piano.

If only I would have been introduced to drums at the right time.

Not coordinated enough for those either.

White tail deer, I'm assuming? Our mule deer don't seem to get hit as often as the white tail, seems like--maybe there are fewer of them around (hard to believe around here)? But I think it's because they tend to be out during the day so they can see better and don't get confused by car headlights. I see them standing on the edge of the road waiting their turn...I swear they look both ways.

Of course, once they're out in the road and have the traffic stopped both ways, they take their time to cross. The thing you have to watch out for with them is that they come in groups of 6 or so, but only cross the road one or two at a time. Just when you think they're done, here comes another one.

On that regular drive home, there is a mini-mansion that must be feeding the deer around there. 40% of the time there is a herd of at least 20 deer in his expansive front yard. Maybe 5 miles farther down the road there is regular turkey sightings, flocks nonchalantly crossing the road. And yes, I take that route on purpose so I can see the critters in their natural habitat, sort of.

No! But it was a close enough event to totally take out two trucks. The other driver and myself.

I feel like I fatally abused my tires and brakes.

Just so you all know, I was driving the speed limit on a two lane road with stop signs every mile. 45 mph max.

The girl stepped out in front of me.

She split during all the chaos!

Whew!

I will take the hit with the deer before a truck coming head on!

Smart A$$.

I didn't have time to look at the oncoming Dude!

I don't know if he was wearing pants or not!

We each went on our way with dirty diapers.

I saw that it was a doe! And, she certainly wasn't wearing pants!

So, there! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I think my piano teacher would have killed me if I had tried that. After my parents did.
One of the Marx Bros was talented on the piano I always loved the way he hits the last piano key , like he was shooting a gun...i thought it was too cool.

Eva is not trained for off leash in front yard because there is just too much traffic on our street, which is main route into subdivision.
Love the video, SD.

Cressrb Mel, my problem is my treasures remain mine. I can't sell anything.
02-20-2020 05:17 PM
melbrod If you find true treasures, I don't think bargain shopping is such a bad addiction.

Of course, the definition of true treasure rather varies according to the shopper.

But congrats on your find!!!
02-20-2020 04:10 PM
Cressrb I am in so much trouble today. I fell off the wagon so to speak. I have stayed away from all the thrift stores for ONE year now and then last Monday my daughter having the day off convinced me to go with her to the thrift store. I thought just one day looking around with her, keeping billfold at home, would be ok. It was not ok, I am back and really glad to see all my old friends that still remembered me and ask where I had been, ha. ( my kinda place where everyone knows your name...)sigh, I am now totally hooked and trying to make up for lost time and all the days I probably missed a sure treasure.
Rich had been so patient with me and relieved to think I had won over my addiction. He can hardly shuffle anymore boxes in the garage, which I assure him I plan on selling on eBay or something.
This is the kind of treasure I like - a leather bound, gold embossed book of Byron's Poems, 1895 which I purchased for $4 and now looking it up in books of antiquity worth $xxxx. And then my curiosity to know the owner of the book whose beautiful scripted handwriting is a work of art, inscribed on just the correct place not to devalue the book.
I really don't think there is a cure or any hope for such as I. It just is what it is.

I think it will take me a few listens to really appreciate. When I was into guitar and came across the guys using it as a percussive instrument and lots of doo-dads on it I was not as impressed/into it as just the folks playing it "normal". But I came around. I think same with this style of playing piano.

melbrod I went to a dog show with my then SO one time, who hadn't a clue about how shows work.

I remember him congratulating someone who came out of one of the classes with a 2nd place (not the winners class--something on "down the line"). The look on her face was priceless.

melbrod SHE CAME BACK!!!

Which is really what matters in the long run. Congrats to Eva.

I too love the indecision on her face...

And that is the kind of event where some good NO's and grouchiness as they go out works (like you did involuntarily), if you cheer them on back the minute they stop and look at you. You know, bounce up and down and give a few yippee whoops.

Things like that sure can spike a guys blood pressure REAL quick !

Funny story on garage doors from here - I can't remember what year it was - But Kasia was pretty young - We had a Funeral to go to - Wife asked me to put Kasia in the Office = Garage so she didn't get dog hair on her dress - so I did . It was early spring and it was a pretty cold day . We were about ready to leave - So I opened up the back door to bring Kasia in and I was meet with a blast of cold air ! Poor Kasia - I guess she was not happy being out here and wanted back in - We think she had jumped up on the back door but missed and hit the door opener mounted on the wall by the door - the door was all the way up and I will never forget her super big eyes looking at me and she came In a 100 mph !

I always unhooked the door - so this would NOT happen - Bad dad here forgot - but it never happened again !
