Coco Loco I think what she loves best TN is spending time with you!!

You could take her to a garbage dump and her eyes would always be on her dad.

Thanks, Coco! Yes it's a beautiful park but it's pretty small; at least the part where you can walk along the stream. There are some trails that go off into the woods but I think even those hit subdivisions pretty fast. Still, just for the scenery, peace and quiet, it's worth it. And Mocha loves her hikes, I think even more than me

Thanks...haha I always say that it's almost impossible to take a bad pic of Mocha but there are times she makes me work for them! Like today, when we were working on stays...I actually think she started sulking because I was walking away from her because when I told her to stay and started walking away, she turned her head and wouldn't look at me LOL

My big ninny

I'm trying to remember; I think Capri always had a weak looking wrist and then just took a wrong step or put too much stress on the joint dashing around madly. She ended up looking like this:

The vet thought the involved ligament was stretched rather than ruptured, but her wrist was definitely unstable.

She never limped, even when it looked that bad, but we were worried that the joint was unstable enough that it would continue to get worse and she would end up practically walking on the side of her foot. She was in treatment for it (physical therapy, custom-made brace, platelet-rich plasma injections), but without much success. Then she started with the obstructions, so the wrist thing wasn't the big concern.
Hmmm I will mention it to my vet next time we go. I've never seen her limp at all, and like I said when I do notice her sitting like that and I say "Mocha, sit up right" she'll snap to attention and sit perfect so I previously thought she was just kind of slouching. But yeah, it always is that left leg.

I can't remember...I'm noticing Mocha's left leg; her wrist appears a bit over when she's sitting. Have we discussed that here before?? Capri had a wrist something like that, so I'm wondering.

Mocha looks comfy with the new place.
I've noticed it but have never really worried about it before because she only does it maybe 25% of the time when she sits but it is always her left leg. I always figured it was her way of maybe being lazy and slouching because if I call her name, she'll sit up straight and proper. Is it something I should be worried about?

A Change Of Scenery

Yes sir, it's Friday and I'm off work today AND the sun was shining so of course, Mocha and I headed for the trails this morning. But, we decided to head to a different park today for a change of scenery. This park is farther away, and smaller than our regular park, but there's a creek running through it and it sure is pretty there...and very few people/dogs on a weekday morning, which is also a bonus.

Join us again, if you would, on our morning hike First off, a few pics of the scenery:

Mocha enjoyed our walk as always, and since we were all alone, I practiced some stays while I walked away which didn't make Mocha all too happy LOL

This is a cool place, Dad!

I'm kinda digging this queen of the rock thing!

Whoa whoa whoa are you backing up? You're not gonna ditch me out here, are you?

Alright, that's better...stay right there and take your pics...no need to start backing away

Not sure we should go up that way, dad, looks kinda tricky

Each ear is listening for potential killer squirrels

So happy we didn't have to walk through the water!

Not the best pic with the way the sun was glaring...I told her to stay again and walked away....here I'm about 30-35 feet away and as you can tell, Mocha is not amused.

Thanks for joining us on today's hike
