I haven't got time to mind my watch. Never going to leave my phone behind though!

Even though I don't answer it.

My brother called me from the driveway to tell me he was here.

I ignored him the first time and he called back.

When I answered he asked if I wanted to see my puppy.

9 week old black Miniature Schnauzer.

Cute, cute, cute, cute.

He was holding his own with the big dogs.

Then my brother left and took my puppy away.

MeadowCat Hahahahahah - those steaks look awesome!

We picked up some nice ribeyes earlier this week, but tossed them in the freezer as we still have leftovers to finish off. Maybe we'll grill them later this week.

Not only did I watch the NASCAR finish but I wrote I wrote a big long post about it and thanked to profusely and now have the NASCAR Cup Series race on today.--just watched someone--this rv has too small a screen--I need to go in the bedroom and watch. But I just watch someone pull out of the pack and move up about 6 places --he just did it again--whoever it is--moved up to third place now. And someone else just got squashed off the track--the announcer narrowly avoided saying that the driver was pissed--but stopped in time to say he was upset.

OK, I see I'm not doing any more lawn and garden stuff today than I got done yesterday afternoon.

But I've got about a million questions for you Ken. I came to auto racing late so I see these weird looking cars that look like they are wearing box kites on top of them and I wanna' know what the things on top do--or prevent. And are those sprint cars or what.

I'm sure everyone remembers last summer when I asked why they called some racing cars "funny cars" But I gotta' say that Beau gave me a great explanation.

I'll be back when there is a long break--to ask more.

I meant to ask before but forgot, 67, what kind of cut do they call Cowboy steaks up there? Here, the ones we get at Sam's Club (also called tomahawk steak) are nothing more than bone-in-ribeye and are really tasty when thrown on the grill. The below are images I pulled off the internet:

I advise that nobody else look it up !
DANG! Kenny if you hadn't launched into that tirade I wouldn't have gone and looked it up--lol! The advice was good but came a little too late.

Now ROTFLMAO!! ABTLH

Thanks Kenny and most of the time, Mocha is the same way. It drives me up the wall...we'll be out on the patio, out in the yard or even on the trail and she'll be watching me, ears straight up, not moving her eyes off me UNTIL I either bring up the camera or the iPhone, then she lowers her ears and looks away LOL

I won't say that about the bottom two, or your missus might come after me. But that Mocha girl sure is purty. I'll have to get your address from LDI. If you notice she's not in your yard anymore, let me tell you she's got a good home. I hope Hairy and her will learn to get along.

Just got back from a walk. I figured I was just tired because of chugging up and down the hills in that heat, but got home and measured it on Google maps. I actually went about 4 miles--and it's still hot.

It's really only about 84, but the sun is bright and I was going as fast as I could manage. Dog is sacked out on the cool floor and I'm not much better.
Thanks, Mel. Ha, I just noticed that in those pics, the bottom of Mocha's nose is still dirty from cleaning out my yogurt container just prior to us going outside LOL.

Hey what is this...LadyDi wants to take off with my smoker, you and Denny want to take off with my dog...I may have to get another Doberman to protect my smoker and Mocha...yeah, that's the ticket, the perfect excuse...wonder if Mrs. TN will fall for it?

It sounds like you need a visit from a couple of CT specialists. I bet B67 can handle a roof, and we know SP is good at wallpaper stripping. I'm almost sure she could manage some exterior house painting.

LDi and I will sit in the shade and supervise with a few tall drinks. You do have a little shade still? I hate it when big trees go over, so sad.

Hang in there. I know you will. It seems to be one of your fortes, entirely admirable.
Dang - Is it Morning already ? Early morning at that !

I spent a lot of time putting up new curtains and doing a deep clean on the house, which I have neglected for too long. A couple weeks ago, I lost Willie, my big fluffy cat (the one who went on a hunger strike and almost starved, remember?). He didn't come in one day and I thought it was because it was soooo hot, but the next morning, I found him flattened out on the road. I can't even describe... I have to stop there.

The very next day we had a super-cell thunderstorm with golf ball sized hail that took out two of our living room windows, completely wrecked the roof patching Rich had managed to finally accomplish (so it's raining inside again when it rains outside), ripped off one of the storm doors and bent the other one, and broke off about a dozen fully mature trees, including one of the pines. It's hard to break a pine tree in two. So now we're trying to find someone to come fix all the damage. I don't know what we're going to do about all the trees and limbs and branches everywhere. And pine cones. They're all over the place. And dead baby birds that got blown out of their nests. Most of the parents are gone now, too.

The very next night after the big storm we had another big storm, but the hail was smaller, and no microbursts, so minimal tree damage on that one. Basically, it just finished ripping the broken branches out of the trees. Since then we've had several smaller storms that normally wouldn't bother me, but I'm so punchy now, when I see black clouds on the horizon I just start shaking and crying. Even the CATS are freaking out now when they hear thunder. They run back and forth through the house, howling at the top of their lungs.

If the microburst that took out all those trees was 50 feet farther east, it would have taken out our house. I thank God we still have a house, even thought it has holes in it and no paint on one side (the big hail stripped all the paint off).

I'm still licking my wounds...
Lick all the wounds you need to.

A bunch of $hit at one time.

Glad you checked in Seester!

Hot here again today! Before noon, I went out back and situated myself near one of the hummingbird feeders so I could get a few pics. And with that sun beating down on me, a few pics is all I got before I retreated back into the nice cool air conditioned house. I just can't hang like I used to

And speaking of selfies, yesterday I went out on the deck and sat down on the stairs, and of course you-know-who had to come right over and stick her head in my face and push my glasses up off my nose and ears

And then surprise, surprise, I managed to get one where she looked over at the phone!
