melbrod Whenever I lose something, I always find it again right where it doesn't belong. Have you looked there yet?

StrykersPerson Since it's past midnight for the old timers, I am going to start tomorrow (for them) with a random question.

Where is my telescope?

I forgot I had one! Then I remembered I have one! But, where is it?

StrykersPerson Hey TN,

Mocha will be okay. I am putting that in the air. And, that is how it shall be!

Great!

I learn more about myself everyday!

I don't play with snakes, bears and lightning! Lightning is cool as long as you don't HAVE to take a shower or wash dishes.

I had an aunt from the northeast who used to say "BAY-ton ROOJ" for Baton Rouge (where I grew up) no matter how many times she was (politely) corrected. Some folks just never learn.

But I shouldn't talk. I'm still working on saying "Colo-RAD-o" and "Ne-VAD-a" instead of "Colo-rah-do" and "Ne-vah-da, which is apparently a non-native way of talking.
Bad habits are hard to break, Ma!

I still can't say Crested Butte, CO.

It comes out Crusty Butt!

LMAO

Don't get me started with the way some Missourians pronounce things.

The word Missouri with them. They throw in an A at the end. Missour-ah.

What?

melbrod Ultrasound on Thursday morning or afternoon, TN?

It can't come soon enough, I'm sure—it's so difficult not knowing.

Thanks, MC, and I will. It's so darned frustrating that I can't do anything to help her, and even more frustrating that even though I know something is wrong, and the vets know something is wrong, none of us know what.

The good news for now is, she hasn't had the runs since early this morning, so the meds and canned food seem to be working. Ears are popping back up and the look in her eyes is normal Mocha, so there's that

Yes Mel, in NYC, they say "How-sten Street" (spelled Houston) stop when riding the subway...

dobebug And about pronunciation--the capital of South Dakota is pronounced Peer or pier NOT Pee-air as in the french male name.

No matter what my grade school teachers thought--they were nuns and had never been nowhere anyhow.

Hard for me to sleep when the house is quiet.
Really used to having the sound of a fan running.
So spoiled. OK off to the hot tub.
I hate it when that happens! If I think it's going to be a minor shut down, I pull my sleeping bag out and sleep on the porch swing. It's similar to camping and the bathroom is RIGHT there!

Crickets would be my solution to listening to silence.

I've got to have a fan too, Cuz!

Even before menopause!

With my sincere apologies to ZZ Top

T-shirt, tennis shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
If you call me, I won't reply
I don't need a reason why

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a 60 inch man

In the shower, I like to sing
I ain't missin' not a single thing
I got whiskers, on my chin
When I step out I'm gonna do you in

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a 60 inch man

Speedos, I'm to old for that
And you know I'm way too fat
Got my ballcap, up above
Lookin' sharp and lookin' for love

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a 60 inch man

And of course, there are those of us who didn't need the drugs to have age catch up.
(Note: I only said US because I couldn't figure out a way to use that phrase so it just applied to me )
