melbrod That's a neat idea!

Coco Loco Well tonight is my night to revive all the old threads I guess. I miss both of my old gals a lot still. Coco and Tiki the dynamic duo.

I saw this idea on Instagram. You plant flowers in your pet's dish that have gone to the bridge. The irony is that once Tiki joined our family she ate all of my plants and flowers so I haven't had any in many, many years. Tiki particularly liked spiky ones so i bought her an aloe plant since she ate mine a long time ago. My neighbor gave me the flowering succulent after Coco left us and somehow i was able to keep Tiki from eating it. It just budded a small flower again.

I use Cocos dishes for Sugar but Tikis dishes are perfect for the old gals. I just need to get some soil.

Together always my girls.

There just are no words

There just are no words. Only time can heal the pain. Remember the good, you were both lucky to have shared the time together.

Coco Loco Today is a tough day. Coco would have turned 10. It's her first birthday that she is not here and I am sad.

Thanks my girl for all the lessons you taught me. If dada hadn't insisted on you joining our family I would have missed out on so much. I am grateful for the time we spent together and the wonderful memories we made. I would never have found the pond and the heron without you because I would have never gone down there.

Please give Sugar some guidance. He needs some help because he's a baby and has lots to learn. I see some of you in him especially the way he stops what he's doing to come over for a kiss and a cuddle. Sometimes I see your dark brown eyes twinkle in his and it is bittersweet but eventually it will be more sweet than bitter my girl.

Thank you Coco for helping me learn to get it right this time. I did this to honour you. You were my best mistake I ever made and I enjoyed every moment we had together.

Enjoy your day my girl and remember that mama loves you always.

Fitzmar Dobermans So sorry for your loss - thank you for doing the right thing for her and not letting her suffer unnecessarily. Hugs to you.

Coco Loco I'm missing this old gal tonight. Tiki is too. She walks around the house looking for Coco howling. Tiki checks out her beds and looks at me. Eventually we will all feel a little better. We just heard her jump off the bed upstairs and Tiki ran up the stairs to find her.

ETA.. I was trying to upload a pic but it won't work of course

ETA ..and right when I gave up it worked lol

Coco Loco The old gal arrived back home last week. I feel more at peace with her back here. Coco will always have a place in our home and especially our hearts. We hear her around the house and it is bittersweet to know she is still with us but in a different way.

I hope these pics work because I'm never good at these things. I haven't put all her things away yet because I'm not ready to and if things go well I won't need to.

I believe your quote from Coco's 9th Birthday thread post, earlier this year, is apropos:

"We have been so blessed to have you in our life since you were a wee little babe of 8 weeks."
Thank you so much spocksdad for your kind words. I would have done anything for that old lovey and that's what was so hard. This time I couldn't. Except to let her go peacefully and make her pain mine. I wouldn't trade any minute I had with her and would do it all again.

Lyrics
I've been through so many changes in my life, woman
It's a wonder I ain't lost my mind
And I ain't never said how much I need you sugar
But I sho' need you by my side

My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind
My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind all the time

Life with me I know for sure it ain't be easy
But you stayed with me anyway
And even though you ain't gonna lose too much by leaving
I'm so glad you stayed

My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind
My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind all the time
You've been my friend and you've been my lover, oh lord
Honey you're everything I need

You've made my love so strong now I know where I belong
Oh girl you'll never have to worry
Oh baby any more, any more
My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind, oh yeah

My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind, all the time
Oh yeah

Coco Loco Thank you LadyDi. I have always loved that.

I have heard Coco walking around the house and shaking her ears. She is still doing her job making sure her family is ok. What a good girl.

Aww thanks melbrod. That brought tears to my eyes but in a good way.

And you are right that girl knew she was loved and that bond is forever. This is the most important thing!
