Thanks Beau and Mel!

Very nice! - Surprised I had not come across those guys before.

I thought similar Mel about the keys - On one video I had to watch some again as I had thought the keys took a sec to come back up!

I think it will take me a few listens to really appreciate. When I was into guitar and came across the guys using it as a percussive instrument and lots of doo-dads on it I was not as impressed/into it as just the folks playing it "normal". But I came around. I think same with this style of playing piano.

But with that Beau/Mel has inspired me to go play some piano. I have been a bit slack this week. Most my fault other the state of the house and last night on the phone with work for almost 2 hours.

Speaking of the house - a bit bummed - the one house that was on the market we liked is no longer on the market under contract....just a few more weeks and we could have looked at it again. Ahhh well.

Off I go. Have a good day everyone.

I am glad that he is doing good.

That is the career he chose, though. Like cops and athletes and every other career choice.

Even hobby's can hurt you. Just think of Christopher Reed bumping his head and eventually expiring from a horse competition that went South.

melbrod I heard he was being "pushed" to help him finish first, and that their bumpers tangled or something.

So I guess that means it was on purpose.

“We pushed Newman there to the lead and then we got a push from (Hamlin). ... I was committed to just pushing (Newman) to the win and having a Ford win it and got the bumpers hooked up wrong,” Blaney said."

Mel,

Nice dissertation on roses--I always thought that all roses originated in China. Turns out that roses evidently originate independently nearly everywhere but nearly all modern roses (the big fancy ones--multifloras and almost all hybrids) are hybrids of one of several roses that did originate in the far east.

And as far as roses and prickles go--I have a soft pink rose that was here when I moved in--blooms heavily all spring and lightly in late summer. It has thorns (I hesitate to call them prickles--that will leave you with scars if you are careless while pruning them) that are often three or four inches long.

And yesterday I hauled the tv that lives in the computer room off to a repair place (who knew that there is evidently no tv repair place in my area in Portland (maybe no place in Portland at all) that does repairs on small older televisions. Most of them only work of BIG guys--and there advertising say--42" and larger, in home only.

And before I took this little old RCA in I looked to see if I could find a small one and discovered that anything smaller than 32" series (whatever that means) has vanished.

So I took it up to Vancouver and paid to have them look at it and went home, sadly--and less than an hour later they called--tv works fine--was off the "antenna setting" and that's why it wasn't receiving anything and that why no picture, no sound.

That mystified me--I never touch that setting--so I planned on going up again this morning to retrieve the tv that actually was working just fine. And only when I was at the computer trying to keep Clark from standing on the keyboard or sitting on my lap or on the speakers did I figure out what probably happend.

I used to keep the control for that tv in the desk drawer (mostly to keep it from ending up covered with dust--but since I had taken to having the tv on while I looked at e-mail and DT/CT I had been leaving it on the top of the desk. I bet any amount of money that Clark who is definitely big and heavy enough to do it WALKED on the controller and I know that it's possible to change it from Antenna to a setting that is for cable via a one button method.

BAD CLARK--so much for your allowance for the next six months.

But it's always disasters in threes and the second thing that failed was the microwave.
I don't really feel too bad about it--it's just a pain in the rear to find a size that fits in the cubby designed to take a counter top model. But I bought if from one of our vets when they were moving to a new house and trying to get rid of excess baggage before the move. The microwave as one of two they got as wedding gifts and I was looking because the elderly one I was about to replace had an interior which was white and peeling (I thought all the interiors were ceramic but evidently not--and I hated not being able to clean it)--so I went home and measured what would fit and she sold me a Cuisenart for $20--it's lasted 4 years--so I can't complain about the price vs longevity. And it's interior was stainless steel and incredibly easy to clean.

So I'm still comparing price/avilability/size and interior finish and if anyone has strong preferences for brand I'd like to hear about it.

In the meantime I'm going to do some more internet shopping for microwaves and go get my tv.

Have a nice day ya'll.

By the way I just noticed that we are approaching one of those land marks--LDi's last post was #29530--so post #30,000 will be coming right up. Mel who reset her page count to 50 (or something) post per page from the default 25 posts per page is not eligible for entering the contest. (I expect that Denny will respond with a flurry of short posts to guarantee a shot at making it to 30,000 posts first. At least it'll give her something to think about other than her sickly SO or the possibility that he'll pass whatever it is along to her.

Funny!

When I was in my little FEMA trailer Axel took to climbing on the bed after I went to work. I had left the remote on the bed. I came home and there was a DVD playing. That trailer was way to small for anyone to hide in, so I wasn't scared about anyone being in there. Sure enough, there was Axel passed out on the bed with the remote! Would have been super funny if he would of had a bowl of popcorn in the bed with him.

I don't care who carries us to the milestones! It wouldn't happen without you all! I don't get all the credit, nor do I want it.

Yep! Mister went to the doctor today without insurance. Paid $213 to be told he has the flu. I asked him the day before yesterday if he wanted Co-Pilot's SO to come over and diagnose him. She's a nurse. Could have saved him $213.

On a funny note. We have two fridges. One in the kitchen and one in the laundry room. My beer is stored in the latter. That's where he keeps his stash of his food. He came in the office well enough to say, "Don't drink out of the open orange juice in my fridge." I said, "I ain't drinking **** out of your fridge." Then he reminded me my beer is in there!

Mister Smarty Pants!

He better not get me sick!

My sick days are used for playing hooky!

ECIN Well it's more like a miracle ! My Professional guess - is he was nocked out and was as limp as a wet noddle = no bones broken . I did notice in the video that it appears that he has a brace or something on his lower left leg .

Thanks for posting that up Mel

melbrod I's here. But probably not for long...gotta pick the daughter up at school later (part of our transportation deal from yesterday.)

Say, how about this:

"Ryan Newman walks out of hospital days after horrific Daytona 500 crash"

https://www.foxnews.com/auto/ryan-ne...tona-500-crash
Positively amazing.

That's it in terms of excitement here--except it's snowing again. Predicting only 1-2 inches this time, but the last prediction was 3 and we actually got 6-7 (and more further south, I think.) They closed all of the schools, etc, which was a little of a scare for me, because that was the day of my colonoscopy--but I figure after all of the bother, almost NO ONE cancels their appt. at the last minute, and they would never hear the end of it if they tried to shut down for the day. This doesn't look like any big deal though.
