Wow. I think I counted 11 dobermans. That's a lot of echoes and holters to do every year. I'd want to see all the health testing.

There are also some pedigrees (most of them actually), that I wouldn't touch with a 10 ft. pole! I'd want to know what dogs they were breeding because some of those breedings would be a dangerous combo of DCM, IMO.

After looking at their accomplishments, they really don't have much. Looks like they're located in NY and bc of that they get bookings for their dogs. Sad that they claim to train but all of their dogs are in prongs. Nothing against prongs but I rarely have my dogs in them and if I do it's mostly for training.

You can do much much better! Do a search here on dt about this breeder and you will see plenty of reasons to stay away.

greenkouki Would you look in Ohio and KY? There are some good breeders there too. I would reach out to local DPCA chapter clubs and if you are on facebook ask to join this group:

ShelianDobe Welcome to DT.

Gorrmae, Smack-Dab and Lyndobe I am all familiar with. Just ask about health testing and be sure to see the actual test documents, I am not up-to-date on what they are doing these days. You might also check with Melrae in Michigan and Windsong in Indiana.

Good luck with your puppy search!

Looking for a good breeder

Hi I'm new to this great forum, I'm in search for a reputable breeder with in a days drive of Chicago. I've been doing a lot of reading on here, but haven't been able to find some more recent post on good breeders. I'm looking for a good family pet, not looking to show him just want to enjoy a good healthy companion. I've read old post on Cara, Foxy, Lyndobe, Gorrmae, Smack-Da Dobie and Hartland. Just want some info on how they are doing now as apposed to 10 years ago. Any bit of info is appreciated.
