Getting quite cavalier about these things are we??

Great big congratulations!

There'll be many more.

greenkouki The next round of shows have started and last weekend I took a Reserve to a 4pt major showing Hugo myself, Not a whole lot else to report other than he took a 5 point major today in Concord, NC expertly shown by Carmen Pitts! Wish us and his two litter sisters luck for the rest of the cluster. We have 5 more shows!

greenkouki I am not worried about that! I know he has a lot working in his favor! He has 7 or 8 reserves to majors in maybe 15 shows (not counting the national). He is competitive even without a professional handler.

We had a great time this past weekend, our club put on a Fast CAT and Hugo picked up about 100 points. I'll see if I can put up a video!

Reds are special. Blacks are lovely, too, but reds are great.

Your boy is handsome! I love it when they're in that chunky puppy phase. He's going to be gorgeous, growing into those paws. (Which he is - I just saw your latest post. He's grown up incredibly handsome!)
Try a fawn if you think red is special!

Greenjkouki--if he's running around 80 pounds at 15 months and is around 27.5 pounds he's right in there for weight to size ratio on an immature dog.
I still think the same thing I thought back when he was going through a lot of 'funky' puppy stuff that his bone is appropriate for his size.

My smallest male (ever) was not quite 27" and in show condition weighed + or - 77 pounds. Finished and doing a variety of performance stuff (especiallty Agility) I kept him at 74 to 75 pounds. He had no particular trouble finishing. There was an enormous 1/2 Euro bred male taking the Open Black class regularly while my dog was getting into Winners from either Bred By or Am Bred--we always told people that the judges thought that my dog was a very spectacularly handsome puppy and he always beat the 1/2 Euro dog.

I still think that Huge is a very handsome dog--he still doesn't (and I wouldn't expect him to) have his adult musculature and weight.

dax0402 He is just so gorgeous and congratulations on the points!
04-25-2019 09:20 PM
greenkouki We will see! He is light on bone and will probably stay that way. He's just a hair over 27 1/2" right now.

melbrod 80 pounds as a 15 monther seems good to me. Give him 5 more pounds or so as he matures--I think 85-90 pounds sounds just about right

How tall is he?

melbrod 15 MONTHS? How did that happen?

I'm still picturing this little puppy and then you post a picture of this big grownup guy and tell us it's the same dog.

Congratulations!! Sounds like it's a litter to be proud of too.

greenkouki It has been a while since I updated on the red one. This past weekend He was WD/BOW for a couple points and his sister was WB on Easter Sunday along side him. Pictured at 15mos

ECIN WOW - Look at them eye's ! Them could burn holes threw steel !
12-05-2018 01:15 PM
greenkouki It's more "little red dog" right now which is why he's going to wait and mature before showing more. Since there are scent work trials coming up here in the next few months we will be pursuing that instead.
