I don't tell this to just anyone - Be 'n' your my most favorite aunt in the word ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I pan fry up 2 lbs of Hamburger - drain the grease off - I just use a big spoon and move the burger over and tilt the pan so the grease runs to the side and dip it out - put it in a cleaned out cottage cheese container and put in freezer till trash day - ![]() this is sort of tricky here - but what ever pasta you like - we use little sea shells - but wife got the wrong box and I used ? More like a medium type - and it all depends on how much you want in it - today , I just fixed a whole box and keep adding till I thought that it looked right - wife was happy - so I guessed close Also -you have to boil it ! The bigger shells take long to get tender - but it will cook some when put in the oven Then after mixing the pasta and hamburger - I added a can of diced tomatoes ( 14.5 oz ) no salt added 2 cans ( 6.5 oz ) of Mushrooms - all depends if you like rooms - you can put in what ever amount you want ( drain them before adding ) 1 jar of Ragu - We use traditional , old world style sauce ( 24 ozs ) Mix it all up and put it in a baking dish - then cover the top of it with a 7 oz bag of Sargento Shredded cheese - I use the Extra sharp cheddar but do not cover the baking dish Set oven at 350 and bake for 30 minutes This does make a lot - so you could cut the P in half , I guess - but someway , ours don't stick around long ![]() |

Ran across another article about Oregon that might explain this: https://apnews.com/eaea113eee94421789b24fcf047f6bae First Summary Line of Article: "Oregon is awash in pot, glutted with so much legal weed that if growing were to stop today, it could take more than six years by one estimate to smoke or eat it all". Maybe 4x4 or Bug have some input on this Oregon / Bigfoot phenomenon? ![]() I'll be damned if I know why Oregon is always rife with BigFoot reports (and Washington state isn't much better). Basically the people I know don't believe there is a BigFoot and can tell you about the rumors they started with handheld big "feet" on handles to make tracks where BigFoot believers could find and report on them. And as for as weed goes--somewhere in the past (and not all that far in the past) I told Kenny to not think about going into legal pot business in Oregon because the amount of legal weed grown was huge and now the growers have been trying to figure out a way to ship it to states where it is legal to grow but not legal to sell (hard to ship because federal laws still prohibit growing, selling and use of pot). Probably would be better to stick with the now legal growing of hemp--at least you can make stuff out of that (fabric etc) which can be shipped and sold elsewhere. I don't really have any difficulty believing the 6 year estimate. I occasionally think about how amusing it would be if Oregon started shipping (excuse me, it would really be smuggling) pot to Mexico--that'd serve the Mexican cartels right. Library wants their computer back. Parenthetically (for Mel) gotta' go... ABTLH |

Sweet dreams All! ![]() When my ex and I lived in Portland (Tualatin actually) and had Ninja, my first Dobie, who was no slouch in the size department, we had a huge possum coming in our back yard eating the poop! OMG. No shooting was allowed within city limits, so the hubs finally shot him with a field tipped arrow. A gunshot would have been quieter - that possum screeched like nobody's business. And Ninja was WILD, trying to get through the glass patio door and finish off that critter. I didn't let him out, for the simple reason I wasn't sure who would win that fight. That was one large and fierce possum. (He finally dragged himself off to die in someone else's yard, I assume. Anyway, we never saw it again.) I'm glad we don't have possums out here, but then there ARE the skunks, which do as much damage to poultry, and smell worse. Jasper's smart enough not to chase them, but he also doesn't see them as a threat, either. They don't ACT like a predator, and honestly, I think he thinks of them as cats. So it's on us to get rid of the skunks, although there are fewer than there used to be, I assume just because there's a big dog loose on the premises. Oh, SP, I almost forgot. My first Arab, Raj, was an Egyptian (El Hilal grandson, I DO have his papers), but he was a stocky, blocky boy, and if I had to guess, I'd say he outweighed Horus by quite a bit. Horus is much lighter boned than Raj was, and I would think it would be just the opposite. Raj was almost an identical twin to Horus in color and markings, and just about the same size, except Raj was stockier. Maybe I just fed him too well. ![]() Horus, though, used to have a REALLY beautiful long mane and tail - I have a picture of him right after he got here and his mane is flying out behind him, and his tail was flowing, long enough to touch the ground. But the trees. ![]() Well, I'm cooking Persian food for dinner tonight. Zereshk polo, which is Basmati rice with chicken and barberries. My absolute all-time favorite food in the whole world.
