I'm good at finding people.

Rut Roh!...looks like it's time to move to that Survival Condo apartment I've been investing in over the years....

It got up to 95 today. Come on up now and I'll guarantee none of you will need snow gear.

StrykersPerson Late Guthrie update.

My attorney called me back yesterday and said I can hold the goats hostage and take them to a sale barn, but I can't shoot them.

Now I have to Google how to capture stupid neighbors' goats?

This is BS.

I am meeting him on Monday to pay him $75 to send a threatening letter. If that doesn't work then I have to pay $750 for litigation. If it goes that far, I've got to kick the tires on my horse trailer and burn fuel to take their livestock away?

Really?

What do those people know about livestock or being a good neighbor?

Not a damn thing.

I feel better now.

But good news is the insurance adjuster was here yesterday, and he recommended lots more repairs than I would have even asked for. Better news is I think I finally found a contractor that can actually do all the work. He's supposed to be out Monday or Tuesday to look at everything, but he's a general contractor so he can do not just the roof, but the inside where the ceiling has fallen in, plus the windows, the storm doors, and maybe my wonky shower door which now won't close. The shower door will be on us, but he could fix it while he's here.

Wish me luck.

Oh, and Missy had to have a small (pea sized) tumor removed from her shoulder on Wednesday. By the next morning, the incision was infected, and she's not a good patient. It has become a battle to get anything ON the incision. I'm not outright blaming the vet for the infection, but if Rich had driven Missy up to the "good vet" I don't think it would be infected. (I guess I AM blaming her for the infection.) Anyway, wish me luck getting THAT cleared up, too. (Topical penicillin because I'm brave, but not brave enough to try to give Missy a shot without sedating her with a 2x4, Neosporin, and raw honey.)

Situation normal for around here, I guess...
No reason to be sorry for a hit and run post on this thread.

Zipper is fine. Take care of yourself now and you will see Zipper again. That's all we really have to go on. Grief sucks.

You are such a busy lady! I admire you!

I always loved storms rolling in like that when I lived in Kansas. Running for a basement is way cooler than running to an Oklahoma hidey hole.

Most of the basements I had to run to in my tornado experiences were finished with amenities. Watch the action on TV, do some laundry.

That looks nasty. I pray you didn't get any crop damage.

I'm trying something different tonight...I only turned on the burner on the right side, and left the middle and left burners off and put the raw chicken all the way to the left to cook it on indirect heat till done, then I'll turn down the burner on the right as low as it will go and move the chicken over there to brown it up and then put some BBQ sauce on it. In theory, it should work just like I used to do on my old Weber kettle grill (charcoal on one side, chicken on other) but for some reason I've never tried indirect heat with this gas grill before.

Mrs. TN said I was nuts because it's 86 (feels like 91) out there but I've had the craving for BBQ chicken all day so BBQ chicken it is. At least with indirect heat I don't have to stand there watching it so it doesn't flare up and burn.

And yeah I just wasted 2 minutes of your time telling you something you already knew. To cook on indirect heat, not that I was nuts

Speaking of Etsy, this is where I got some of my Doberman decals. She used to be a member here, and does great work...I see she's also doing them with uncropped ears now:

I think Bug should get a ticket or somethin for not putting the goop on noodles.

My first Toyota Tacoma (1983 short bed, two wheel drive) with a $400 canopy ran until it blew an oil pump on a max traffic time on a freeway--could not get over--trashed the engine. But it had over 300,000 miles with only routine service. My second one is what I'm driving now--it's a 1999 also short bed and retired from delivery truck for an Arizona furniture and appliance store (i know that because you can read the faint shadow on the side of the front where the Arizona sun altered the paint color (white). It had about 190,000 miles on it then and I've added not very many more in the 10+ years I've had it--maybe 3 or 4K not showing many dogs in anything more than a few agility trials and being sort of retired.

Given my tendency to keep stuff until it falls apart--if it hadn't been stolen I'd probably still be driving that first (1963) VW--it was 38hp--which meant it could hardly get up the hill going north from Portland to Seattle right after the bridge. And you had to be doing 70mph at the start to hope to be doing 35mph at the top (and that was when that section of I-5 didn't exist--it was Hwy 99 E.)

Gotta' go murder some maples.

ABTLH
Geeze, Kenny you think you should edit your stuff better? That bolded section should have been 30 or 40K--I've had that truck for 11 years now--while not driving to work at least 5 days a weeks and the great reduction in showing dogs cut way down accrued mileage it wasn't THAT much.
