Meldrew79 Brandy has a very long icky looking skin tag on her chest that we just had the vet check. She said it's purely cosmetic and would not recommend doing anything for it. When the time comes to have her teeth cleaned or something like that, she can just zap it off when she's already under. For now we have to live with her "9th nipple".

Baer_Pearl Thank you all your reply's, but as I said, we can't afford the vet. I was just asking/looking for something we could buy that wouldn't cost $100 for a vet visit and what the dog needs. We are saving money right now to take our female in for Urinary Incontinence. This is going to cost roughly $150, so to take 2 dogs to the vet right now is not in the budget. I know the skin tags are cosmetic, but honestly, they are disgusting. I want them gone.

RottenVonSpotten My friend has had a couple of skin tags throughout her life and suggested that I tie a piece of floss tightly around the very base of the skin tag on my last foster dog's head and leave it alone. It fell off within a week. This has been my very limited experience with them so I'd strongly suggest discussing this method with your vet before trying it out.

mmctaq If all that they are is skin tags (and, I agree that you should have them checked to make sure), they are only a cosmetic issue and would not have to be removed.

sam&macksmom How big are they getting? Did you have your vet look them over, just to be safe?

I found a few posts earlier about a red having the skin tags, I can't find it again. I have a male with the same thing, on his chest they are getting bigger. We can't afford to have them removed. Is there any ointment that can be put on these things to get rid of them?

Thanks!
