Hey guys. I work at a veterinary hospital in north Louisiana, and today we had a doberman come in, in need of serious help.
He is very underweight, strong heartworm posative, and homeless. We are not a shelter/rescue, so we don't have the resources to help this guy.
He is approximately 3 years old red boy, C&D, intact, and such a sweetheart!
I have no idea if he gets along well with other dogs, cat, kids, etc., but I have to help him.
What can I do for him? I don't have the room for him, and I can't take him to my parent's ( they do have plenty of room) but they have two male dogs. Do any of you that are really involved in rescue have any contacts? Will a rescue even take him when they know he is heartworm postative?
He can stay at the clinic until/ if I am able to find a foster. I wish I had a picture of him.
