nice rant...anyways as i was saying, if you even read the thread, was that hitler is a healthy pup now. he was not being taking cared of very well from the previous owner. hitler was being terrorized by his mom and dad when i went to pick him up. his parents were still pup's themselves. now that he's away from them he is a much happier and healthier dog. he loves to play and run around with Goon. i keep him inside all the time, except to go play with Goon. damn ya be making me feel like i'm Vick or something haha jk

CTFY, can you please take into consideration on how your pups name is very painfull for many to hear, read......associate with a cute red male doberman? please.

i myself will be referring to Goon's bud as Spud, until you give him a nickname you prefer.

Hugz to the Spud and his bud!!!!

Puppy

Like some have already told you, your puppy looks sick. The eyes are telling a story on his health, as is the coat and the hip bones that are showing. You need to have him to a vet so that he can be checked out. It is neglect to do anything else.

Also, he needs to be inside the home around people bonding and not outside with the older dog. You are running a big risk there.

If you want to call him Hitler, that's your choice but it is not a nice name for anyone, man or animal. If it is on his papers, for $20 you can have it changed and I'd do that right away. If not, you can call him anything, but if you leave him outside with your big dog, you may not have him for long. He needs vet care and needs to not be put at risk with your older dog. Just not a good idea.

$40 for a crop is someone that is butching. There is not a vet in the country that will crop ears for $40. The puppy looks too old to crop anyway.

The best suggestion I have for you is to allow the rescue to take him so that he can get a good home and proper care. I think he deserves more. To breed him will make more misery.

Hope you will consider my sincere honest opinion. It saddens me.

That depends on what kind of puppy you're talking about. A puppy bred to conform to the doberman standard, out of health tested, shown and/or worked parents, bred by a knowledgeable breeder, sold with a guarantee and written contract, as well as (expertly) cropped and docked typically starts at $1500.

You can also buy a randomly bred puppy out of sub-par parents, from a miller or ignoramus for $200 to $800. Most people don't know the difference in quality between these and the aforementioned puppies. They foolishly believe they're getting a deal when they can actually adopt a puppy or young dog of similar quality at their local shelter for as little as $25.

Please tell us that you took this pup to the vet. He needs more than just getting him away from his parents. What new name did you pick?
