Question Hi there

I found this site on Google looking for somewhere to get my Agentine Dogos ears cropped. The post was from 2012 but it's one of the first to come up on my Google search. It seems everyone was saying Dr. Staples in London does the best job but when I called today they no longer do ear cropping. The other place mentioned in Toronto at Rutherfod and Hwy 400 does and they quoted me roughly $400-500 based on her age of 8 weeks because cartilage gets harder and more bleeding as dogs get older. I'm wondering if there isn't any others in Toronto now that it's 8 years since the post I found here. If you know of any please lmk.

There is a more recent thread, but it looks like only one vet in Ontario is listed. https://www.dobermantalk.com/ear-cro...ping-vets.html

Shouldn't your breeder be taking care of this?

Do make sure the vet you end up with has some experience cropping Dogos, or at least experience cropping bully breeds. Dobermans and Dogos have very different crops in both shape and length, and sometimes a vet may not do a very good job on a breed type he is not experienced with. Ask for pictures of crops he's done. Even bringing in pictures of crops you like might avoid some trouble.

Dobe people suffer the problem in reverse—we have to look for vets who are experienced dobe croppers. A short bully breed crop looks awful on a dobe's head.
