Angry Emmy

Hi! I am new to this site, and I have a 4 1/2 month old Doberman pup. He is a great pup, but is challenging me at the moment with play aggressive behavior. He is 51 pounds already, and at times just lounges and bites at me while barking. We have been through basic puppy obedience classes, and he does well. He is sweet as pie one minute, then can become wild. My trainer says to ignore it, not to react, and push through the situation, but it hurts! It is hard not to squeal, yell, jump, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes do squeal that's what a puppy litter mate would do when my Buddy did that had a fenced back yard I would go out if he jumped on me, or bit, at me playing I would leave him outside I would go in the house for a minute or two then go back outside with him. I most likely did that a couple of thousand times seems like finely sunk in his brain if he was not nice mom went away. I'm older with disability's so could not have a big puppy jumping on me it was a have to learn situation. This works better than getting mad and frustrated with them. Good Luck welcome to DT.
