I got my Dobe female in Feb. She was born Dec. 24th and her mother was a blue and her father a black and tan. She is a red and the rest of the litter were black and tan.

Your pup is sure cute. I did not get Kris' ears done as I like them natural and I am interested in starting her in Agility after the first of the year. She is doing Obedience right now.

Welcome! Dino looks like a fun loving little guy. My best advice would be to stick around and keep reading. I had my dobe for two years before I discovered DT and although he was already trained and socialized, I still learn something every time I'm on here.

Thanks, I've been real lucky with Dino's ears, from Day 1 they never had a problem standing on their own. I've just been cautious and I've been taping his ears for about 2 months since his crop to make sure they stand straight and don't fold. I think he should be ready to go without any tape in about another month.

Hello,

I have a fawn with skin issues. I've had a lot of success with EQyss Micro-Tek medicated shampoo and EQyss Mega-Tek Rebuilder. I let the Rebuilder (conditioner) sit on him for at least 5 minutes. It's helped a lot with the dander and itching.

I also use Nordic Naturals EPA Xtra soft gels fish oil at a dosage of 20mg (EPA)/lb. I like the Nordic Naturals Brand because it's supposed to be lower in heavy metals and it's concentrated so there are fewer capsules for him to swallow (he doesn't like the kind that you pump directly onto the food). **I don't know what the dosage is for a puppy or if it should even be given to a puppy.**

He also gets one Claritin 10mg a day and that has significantly helped with the gobs and gobs of eye goop and sneezing issues he has.

My dog is now 4 years old. The shampoo, conditioner, and fish oil brand I use is fairly expensive but it seems to help him so it's worth it to me. His coat is far from fabulous, but he's more comfortable and there is far less dander and itching.

Hopefully you won't have these issues with your cute baby blue.

From someone who has a big Doberman, trust me, bigger definitely does not mean better.

Hope this helps. Good luck

His ears are looking good. It looks like in one picture they might be tipping in towards each other a tiny bit too much. If so, you may be bracing them too tight. You might try getting rid of the brace or making it looser if they are too close.

Those are older pics, I did actually wrap without the brace for the last 2-3 weeks. Also the brace was always very loose with a lot of slack as you can see in the pics that he actually had his ears close together and there was a lot of slack in the brace. His ears don't tip in as much anymore though. Thanks for the tip

Here's some more pics of him, now 7 and a half months old. Melatonin, fish oil, and grain-free protein rich food goes a long way in keeping his coat looking good
