ear cropping in iowa

Does anybody know of a good vet in eastern iowa that does ear cropping? Im between dubuque and davenport so one of those cities would be better but am open to driving a little ways to get it done right

I'm not to familiar with the area but I don't think I've ever heard mention of good cropping vets in that state, you may have to travel more than a little ways.

I live in Iowa.... no good croppers here, at least not in that part of the state. Might need to look in Illinois.

Finding a good ear cropping vet is extremely difficult... which is why if you want a good crop, it's best to go to a responsible breeder who has ears cropped before the puppies even go home.

No offense but I wouldn't be recommending that first vet ever....I'm not a super long show cut fan but you can still find much nicer shaped and less "batty" than that or just leave them natural.

Your boy's crop is not too bad though, for just a pet I'd be pretty happy with it. Do you have any other pictures of your dog or others that vet has done? It looks a tad uneven and I just can't tell if it's the angle of not...

Here's another one.. I'm still working on posting his right ear. It likes to stand, but the tip above the bell likes to get floppy. He's 9 months now.

I'll get some better head on shots of both of his ears tonight when I get home. I'm happy with the crop, but I agree with your previous statement about Kane's ears being a bit "batty". But hey these aren't show dogs, they are just our babies.

they look much nicer in these pics, I'd def. be happy with them if I wasn't wanting a show crop.

And true, we love them nonetheless, but it's still a shame to saddle them with an ugly crop, ya know. But hey I'm also the person that if I ended up with a pup that the breeder or whoever hadn't cropped I just wouldn't bother with doing them.

Aldo was my first doberman which needed to be cropped. All of my previous dobermans came cropped from the breeder. I also have a min pin which came cropped and I never had to do any posting on her.

Im down here in south eastern part of Iowa, and I haven't heard of anyone. My schnauzer came from Iowa City, I could call her or my groomer might know too, If you still need to know let me know and I will ask..

Ear Cropping North of Waterloo

Avenue of the Saints Vet Hospital in Waverly IA Dr Frost.
She has done many show crops and matches the crop to the head size. I had Reba done there in 1999, very pleased. This is her at 14 weeks and standing great. Only had to post a couple times after that
