Hiya!

If I were you, I'd first check the DPCA's breeder referral - Breeder Referral - Official DPCA Breeder Referral Directory

Both of mine are from Sandra G. Hunter, Bruda Dobermans. She is located in Deer Grove IL - about 15 minutes south of Rock Falls... so not too far away from Iowa at all. It's an easy drive and easy to find.

So far I am extremely pleased with my experience with Sandi and her dogs... and I don't foresee my opinion of her OR her dogs changing anytime soon! A good friend of mine has three of her dogs - two champions and a pet. All three are in great health, even the almost 10 year old veteran. Nicest temperaments, too.

I myself *own* two dogs of her breeding, and I've lived with more. I've had six puppies of hers in my house (different times, thank goodness!) and they've all been wonderful. I have also cared for an older one of her dogs (my male's dam) when Ronin was out on the road, and the house felt lonely with just Ilsa. (If I have the time and means to do so, I usually "borrow" one of her dogs whenever I go for a visit - usually a puppy - for some extra socialization and fun.)

To date, my two have had no real health issues pop up. Ilsa is 6, and Ronin is 4. Both are great dogs, I wouldn't trade them for the world.
