breeder in Bemidji, Mn
First off I would like to say I am new to the forums. With that being said we aquired 2 Dobes from a friend who is being stationed overseas. We agreed to having the pair since our family is the same make up as there's as well as us being well acquainted. My question is for the female I haven't been able to track down any info on the breeder no website or reviews. She is currently 7 months and I wanted to atleast know of.others who may have purchased from the breeder last name Thiel in Bemidji, MN. They seem to have an active add for a b/r male. I would assume its the brother to our female. My concerns is health history. My buddy dis not revieve a health contract for her. Any help or info would be great thanks!
Welcome to DT. We would love to see pick of your new Dobe friends.
Welcome from Missouri - Do you have the sire and dam's name on reg papers - If so you might be able to find out about the pedigree through Dobequest and gain info that way.
Here's the link to the sibling they are selling and pic of our 2 new members. The red/rust is our female I am seeking more info for. Doberman Pinscher Puppies for Sale: Tex
I guess what I am really wanting to find out is if there is anyone who has dealt with this breeder. Based on what I'm reading on these forums there isn't any reputable breeders in MN. My buddy states he.paid $1400 for her based on what I'm reading he may have paid too much for a byb??
He almost certainly has. Lots of people don't know how to find a good breeder and get scammed by these types of people. Hopefully you haven't given any money to this breeder.
All you can do is do your best to keep your dogs healthy. Feed a high quality diet, keep them lean and not overweight, have regular vet care that includes screening for diseases known in the breed.
What part of MN are you in? I'm in the Twin Cities area.
Hi.....I got my dog Niko from them!! I don't know if you have access to their papers, but they come from great lines. Niko is my 6th dobie, and i have to say, although all my babies have been fantastic (well except for one with socialization issues) Niko is by far the best. He is exceptionally smart with the most unique sense of humor, and is amazing at reading people's personalities (good/bad). He's just over two now, healthy and strong and the only issue he has that is a little worse than any of my others is that he gets more tarter build up! They are a small breeder (which is good) that only does 1 or 2 litters a year.
whew its been a while since I been here lifes been busy with our family and my 2 fur babies :-). Glad to say we still have them and healthy as ever! We now live on a hobby farm with 200 acres they enjoy!! Honey jusy hit 1 and no complaints or health concerns except her overweight and lazyness. Now hoping for year 2 for her clean bill of health :-) Meadowcat we live in rural WI. we did go to the Woodbury Dog park havent went since snow fall plan to go once snow melts Dirty our male loves it there and i hope it stays that way crossing my fingers for non male agression yet not signs although hes only 1 1/2
oh only thing complqint i have is a my honey had a botched ear crop. Her ears have 2 different cuts one medium and i dont think u want to consider her 2nd ear to be any type of style. the base was not cut correct nor was it to the tip. unfortunately 8 months of posting the vet suggested they would not post we love her and her ears go with her personality!
