Balloon Fiesta!

Hello all! So, there's an annual International Balloon Fiesta that takes place in Albuquerque, and since we now live here and apparently it's an enormous thing here, my husband and I went on Friday night and this morning. I wanted to share some pictures! Super cool and a lot of fun.

Thanks for the pics! They are amazing.

I was in Albuquerque in April for the NICWA conference for work and I loved the history and culture. The food was very good too. Had to have Christmas at every meal. The conference was downtown at the convention centre. I am heron clan so I had to get this pic on the side of the convention centre!

Some locals had told us about the balloon festival and it sounded like it would be something incredible to see.

I would totally go to Albuquerque again because there was so much to see and do. We were only there for 6 days and went to the conference everyday. Our hotel shuttle driver took us to many of the filming spots of Breaking Bad so now I've been rewatching that to see where I've been lol. We went to Old Town and the Pueblo Indian Cultural Centre but so much more we wanted to do but not enough time.

I guess if I can mention snakes from time to time, you can gush over spiders.

It's actually a bit of a family joke--I sorta pretend to be afraid of spiders. But really they're OK; they just need to stay across the room from me. And I ask the kids to escort them out of the house promptly (which we do with all of our bugs and creepy crawlers. Fortunately no roaches live here, so I'm don't have to deal with that ethical dilemma.)

But huge black widows hovering over my head? The visuals would probably get me.
