Well, the overnight low was 22, so yeah, it was (and is) cold. A couple of years ago, we had a solid week where it never got above freezing in the daytime, and dipped into the low to mid teens overnight. But yeah, it's usually.... sticky.

BRRRR! I hate it!

^^ Is when:
- 3 dogs (2 YorkiePoos & our 1 Doberman)
- needs potty break, in middle of the night
- opening the front door, in ones boxer underwear
- colder with the "wind chill" factor & winter snow squalls blowing outside to inside

BRRRR! I hate it!
- top that StrykersPerson...

Really enjoy reading about how much snow everyone gets & how low your temps go.

Must be that British obsession with the weather.

I'm so jealous! I just walked Coco around the block. It's all either of us could stand. It's 15 below freezing here so it was a brisk walk!

Coco is not complaining about her coat now!

Ugh... Ice storm here. I can drive (serious foul weather rigs) Walking a dog? Heck, walking at all.... Forget about it it. Solid ice. Still dumping freezing rain. Spent two hours de-icing the Jeep and the truck earlier. All for naught. Love snow.... Hate ice.

So now we get the wind (that means there's a storm in the mountains), gusts up to 70-80 mph. That’s hurricane force (very low-grade so not a huge big deal), but today is garbage day. I had my garbage can weighted down, but it still blew halfway down the road. Fortunately it was a empty broken one I wanted them to take away. I’ve had that happen before with a full can--found the empty can, but I never did find where the trash went. It certainly wasn't anywhere to be seen around here.

Well, the freezing line hasn't decided what it will do here. Or, something like that. I reserved a vacation day from work. And, have backup sleeping arrangements if the weather should misbehave during my diligence to get to work. They are predicting icy conditions.

I don't envy you, John.

Merry Winter to you, as well!

What a winter..... We just received about a foot of snow here overnight. Almost unheard of in Portland. Won't get above freeing until Sunday so its here to stay for quite a while. The whole city is shut down. Me? Already been out cruising around in the snow cleared Rubicon this AM. All mobile and no where to go! LOL. MY son and Nancy are out walking Sheriff and McCoy. Intrepid.

Oh well...., Might as well just build a fire and enjoy the winter-wonderland.

We'll probably have another cold snap in a few weeks. Right now, though, we are experiencing near record high temps.

Intrepid.

Oh well...., Might as well just build a fire and enjoy the winter-wonderland.

No wonder the Portland store, regarding my job, didn't answer their phone this morning! I called them to ask a simple, work related, question.

Darcy, don't bother. Stay where it's nice & warm. That huge snowfall of 1mm has turned to rain already.

Lol! She totally let me down! Tiptoed out for a pee and slid back indoors before she could get her fleecy pyjamas wet! And yes, snowstorm over already. Barely had time to find my longjohns.

Hey Dan, don't get too excited but we have actual flakes of snow falling atm.

Hopefully, you'll be able to dig your way out & enjoy it.
