GO girls! (one more time)

Having a hard time believing that on a female heavy site like this there aren't more fans of women's sports.

So one more time: Go Girls!

Women's World Cup: USA 1- China 0 (Today: World cup quarterfinals)

Bring it on Germany! (ranked #1 in the world)

How about a little love for some of the most kickass women in the world....

Dunno--seems to me the girls might like to watch the guys, and the guys the girls--even in sports. Sexist, I'm sure........

Uhhhh. I'm sure there are lots of fans (men and women) of women's sports on the forum. We've been glued to the Women's World Cup but are, of course, rooting for the Canuck girls.

Watched tonight's U.S.-China game. Surprised by the close score after the U.S. women dominated and had soooo many chances.

Looking forward to tomorrow's Canada-England match. Should be a nail-biter.

i'm not a sportsball fan. i'd rather watch ladies in armor beat the snot out of their male counterparts.

Is this the football World Cup? Because frankly I don't even watch the actual one anymore because England just disappoint every time so wouldn't even consider watching women play it!

Now when the Rugby World Cup starts soon I shall be watching... Sadly again it's men though...

Watching right now. Canada fell behind 2-0, but Christine Sinclair (yay!) scored late in the first half to make it 2-1 at half-time.

I am in awe of these women and how incredibly well-conditioned they are. Not to mention tough! It's brutal on that field.

Wouldn't miss it! Rooting for England. Would have been Canada had they persevered. Christine Sinclair played for the U of P Pilots , here in Portland. She was AWESOME.

Oh well. Own goal. Hard way to lose. Well... On the bright side at least Basset doesn't play for Columbia. (Andeas Escobar murdered for scoring an own goal vs. the US 1994).

See you in 4 years!

Yeah, it's harsh but when you support England you get used to it.

Good luck in the final, go get some revenge for us.

Geez. We were a little late to the game, and by the time we tuned in, the U.S. was already up 2-0. But the Japanese women did make a game of it.

Congratulations to both teams. A terrific tournament all round. Thoroughly enjoyed watching all the games.

And can't resist pointing out that Canada's Kadeisha Buchanan won the Young Player Award. Love the way she played.

Yes, that was a nice honor. Shoot, she looked like she was 12 years old!
Hope got the Golden Glove. She deserved it. Definitely the best keeper in women's soccer. Everybody gives her so much crap. My wife knows her quite well.

I once asked her if all the negative attention was justified. She said "probably not, but I wouldn't f*** with her." LOL...

Well, that was one hell of a thrashing!!

There really is no way back when you're 4-0 down after 16 mins. As for Carli Lloyd's 3rd goal, what a cracker!!

Fastest ever womens world cup final goal, highest scoring final in tournament history & the first nation to lift the trophy 3 times, congrats USA, you deserve it.
