.....former Associate Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson (who served as chief prosecutor of the Nuremberg trials). Jackson cautioned the Conference of United States Attorneys on April 1, 1940:

“With the law books filled with a great assortment of crimes, a prosecutor stands a fair chance of finding at least a technical violation of some act on the part of almost anyone. In such a case, it is not a question of discovering the commission of a crime and then looking for the man who has committed it, it is a question of picking the man and then searching the law books, or putting investigators to work, to pin some offense on him. It is in this realm in which the prosecutor picks some person whom he dislikes or desires to embarrass or selects some group of unpopular persons and then looks for an offense, that the greatest danger of abuse of prosecuting power lies. It is here that law enforcement becomes personal, and the real crime becomes that of being unpopular with the predominant or governing group, being attached to the wrong political views, or being personally obnoxious to or in the way of the prosecutor himself.”

Ray Allan Fike-Boisvert Hassan Rabbani QUOTE: THIS IS A REAL EPIDEMIC CANADA!!! A CHINESE STUDENT FROM WUHAN BEGAN POSTING THIS BEFORE GETTING SHUT DOWN!!!
01/22/2020 03:21 PM

I am Chinese from Wuhan, no one can leave the city or enter the city, total cases here is 170 dead, over 5000 infected
We cannot leave the city anymore, we cannot allow others to enter the city, the army is guarding all exit-entry point. All forms of mass transit are on lockdown, including the airport, they will let us all die here
I've seen soldiers in full hazmat suits here in Hanyang, from my second-floor apartment window, they are spraying something fluid on the streets via large trucks using water cannons
USING VPN, here it is not allowed to talk-criticize about the virus, a jail sentence is sure if one does
Fang Zhong, within the institute people, are very very alarmed of what will happen to us
I know personally that at least two IOPCAS scientists have been put under house arrest, the virus is not what the WEST thinks, it is much more dangerous because it mutates from person to person, at first slightly, but could re-emerge under total different form within weeks
Our colleagues counted over 5000 cases within the city center as of yesterday at 1pm
They will never let us leave the city because the virus will spread within exponentially, doubling every two days, this is extremely contagious, the virus stays in the air for 24 to 48 hours
People will panic, the sun rises very soon, most are unaware that the city is on total lockdown
In the Baofeng sector alone, our colleagues counted 1400 cases, many people have disappeared, their loved ones searching for them in hospitals
I go to Central China University, I am from Changsha
Do you have somewhere stocked with supplies where you can shelter in place for a few weeks (or months) where you can wait it out? Is your family trapped in the city with you?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77547432
No, in China it is not possible, cameras see everything, we would be labeled as enemies and traitors, we must stay put and wait from Central Party orders
There is panic and chaos in all are Wuhan hospitals, people are disappearing with no trace and nobodies are found
Stay safe. What is the origin of this virus? I heard it originated from the local food market. Probably some kind of animal was the source.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78370173
They say here Guinea pigs
All my family is outside the city, so they will be ok, they live in a rural area, we fear about the water, we are wondering if the water gets infected, what do we do?
No more N95 mask can be found since last Sunday, not one left in the city
When people wake up, the entire city will want to leave, it's going to be crazy, most people here are sleeping and don't know they can't exit the city
I see people leaving, in my apartment block light are starting to blink, people are waking up and hearing the news, my neighbor is leaving, they say the roads are still free to get out of Wuhan, I don't know, but there will be huge traffic jams
The last planes are landing at the airport and the people don't know they won't be able to leave
Thank you, yes I'm staying put, the University will be closed I think
A convoy of large army trucks here in Yuanbaoshan area in Wuhan
That was nothing, he needed help with electric wires, no more power.
It is confirmed, the army is securing roadblocks at all entry-exit points in Wuhan, they say it is a massive operation
There are many people living here who are very poor, with bad health, supplies won't be coming in anymore, or very little
Our running water system is very weak, if the workers cannot get transportation to the plant, it will shut down (I got the answer to the question earlier)
I am leaving with a small cart my neighbor gave me for helping him, going to buy as much food and drinking water as possible, my supermarket opens in 20 min. The Wuhan Virus is now being called WARS (Wuhan Acute Respiratory Syndrome) as it is closely related to SARS.
Patent for the coronavirus was filed in 2015 and granted in 2018 major funders - World Health Organization and the Bill & Melinda Gates FOUNDATION.

So far, even with the numbers they've quoted, it is not a huge huge thing EXCEPT--China cannot be trusted to report the severity of this outbreak. They've been known to hide the extent of various illnesses before. It scares me that the precautions and restrictions they have been putting in place are so very severe--way out of line with the epidemic as it has been reported.

Example:
"The Chinese city of Wuhan is set to build a hospital in six days in order to treat patients suspected of contracting the coronavirus.
....Hospitals in the city have been flooded with concerned residents and pharmacies are running out of medicine.

According to state media, the new hospital will contain about 1,000 beds."
BBC news January 25

This one is scheduled to be finished Feb. 3rd.

They're planning another:

"Wuhan, the city at the centre of the outbreak of the new killer virus, will have a new 1,300 bed hospital in less than half a month, according to state media." Metro.uk January 25th

Business Insider reported today (Monday, Jan 27th):
"The Wuhan coronavirus has killed more than 100 people and infected more than 4,500." That's worldwide data that's being reported.

And yet China is rushing the building of 2 hospitals with 2300 total new beds? Though it sounds like these are basically just quarantine units.

Business Insider reported this early Jan. 24 (who knows how up to date this is?):
"The city, and at least nine others, have had their public-transport links shut off, leaving a combined 30 million people quarantined in a bid to stop the virus from spreading further."

Some newer reports are now saying 50 million are quarantined.

This is for all you educated people that think uneducated people are dumb. Let's see how this works out for you and your family if this country keeps pushing for socialism.
CRITICAL LIFE LESSON .

"Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"..

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime. In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free food".
"When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence". "They get used to that and start to eat again.
You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side". "The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd".
"Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America . The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time as the government forces us to participate in many of these programs whether or not we want to.
One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. If you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to share this with your friends.
God help us all when the gate slams shut!

Quote for today: "The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those that vote for a living."

State of the Union Address, last night:

- Dems come off as petty and childish.
- Nancy between trying to keep her dentures in and coaching
her underlings when to clap and stand was one of the worst.
Love him or hate him, Trump played the Dems like a harp
tonight and comes off looking like a winner.

Winny Bourne
A petulant child. Had to tell her circus when to stand, when to sit, when to stand up and heckle. Talking to who knows who while behind him, making faces. The display the socialist liberals acted tonite should disgust even their own supporters. This is going to send his ratings through the roof.

Stacey Kosakowski
Pelosi was fuming during the entire speech because President Trump didn't shake her extended hand. After all that she has done to him, unbelievable!

Rush Limbaugh presented with Presidential Medal of Freedom

Controversial radio host Rush Limbaugh was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom during the State of the Union address Tuesday evening. Limbaugh was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

"Rush Limbaugh, thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country. Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and inspire, and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom," Mr. Trump said.

Limbaugh gasped and teared up when Mr. Trump made the announcement. First lady Melania Trump then presented Limbaugh with the honor as they stood in the visitors' gallery.

Caucuses and primaries are stupid

Republicans should pick their nominee thru a combo pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooting competition

Democrats should pick their nominee thru a contest of who can give away the most money fastest while smoking weed

This is the only fair system

While Beau said - why didn't he lock HRC up, in 1st year? Trump is an absolute "Political Chess Master", playing the "win-win-win MAGA game", several moves ahead (timing is everything). First he had to replace the Left-wing Judges. Now he has all the public opinion on his side (after impeachment failed miserably / he probably had his hands tied by the legal team) and everyone knows Dems & MSM are corrupt (finally). Even his rallies now, are joyous celebrations. He is draining the swamp, in 2020...and already has +15,000 big indictments to come. Donald just getting started. >> PS - I'm Canadian and have Loved him, from the very 1st Republican debate (in 2015).
