Sorry if I am wrong. I don't think so?

Let me tell you something my unstable friend.

If you think I was trolling on this forum just to talk about North Korea and Nuclear threats, you are wrong.

I'm talking about politics because this is a politics thread.

People joining a doberman forum just to talk about politics?

That's a non sense.

The puppies I used to have are very different from Dobermans.

I'm reading through many old posts to learn about dobermans and doberman breeders

The reason I don't have any other activities is because I am new

I did not want to jump into questions and ask same old redundant questions so I don't have anything on my record.

Also, in contact with a member through FB to learn about doberman.

She is providing me with a ton of very helpful advices.

So, I am very much in appreciation of this forum.

I consider the politics thread is for politics.

Should I talk about dobermans here in this thread? I don't think so.

So sorry, but not really...

Get lost? I don't think so.

I don't have a doberman yet. Planning to get two of them. But, not in a rush.

I used have a Husky, a Maltease, a Shih Tsu, and a Jindo (South Korean version of Shiba Inu)

I understand that Trump has more legitimate motivations to deal with North Korea than past administrations.

Time is ticking for Trump. If he doesn't deal with it during his terms, it will be a major problem for the US foreign policy IMO.

I hoped Obama was more actively involved in this matter, but he had his priorities I believe.

Bush was more actively involved than Obama, but I think he closed the case immaturely.

The people of North Korea in general are brainwashed to hate USA, Japan, and South Korea. They do tell people to hate China too.

Not much of it can be changed because they are so isolated from information, but according the escapees from the north, people are influenced by South Korean culture and learned a lot of propaganda are full of lies.

Thanks , glad you are here. Its a great breed and fabulous dog to live with. Good luck in your search.

I have watched many videos of stories of defectors about their lives and and travels to a free life. One of the common threads of their stories is the sense of connection with their family , friends and neighbors that they needed in order to survive. The main issue they have in S. Korea as a free person is that lack of connection with the person in front of you. The phrase "just look up" comes to my mind. I thinks those people will , if ever freed to travel the world will teach us much about being a human.

Lets Just Call this "THE END GAME"
C&P
With little time left before the Justice Department inspector general’s report becomes public, and with special counsel Robert Mueller having failed to bring down Donald Trump after a year of trying, they know a reckoning is coming.

At this point, there is little doubt that the highest echelons of the FBI and the Justice Department broke their own rules to end the Hillary Clinton “matter,” but we can expect the inspector general to document what was done or, more pointedly, not done. It is hard to see how a yearlong investigation of this won’t come down hard on former FBI Director James Comey and perhaps even former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who definitely wasn’t playing mahjong in a secret “no aides allowed” meeting with former President Clinton on a Phoenix airport tarmac.

With this report on the way and congressional investigators beginning to zero in on the lack of hard, verified evidence for starting the Trump probe, current and former intelligence and Justice Department officials are dumping everything they can think of to save their reputations.

But it is backfiring. They started by telling the story of Alexander Downer, an Australian diplomat, as having remembered a bar conversation with George Papadopoulos, a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign. But how did the FBI know they should talk to him? That’s left out of their narrative. Downer’s signature appears on a $25 million contribution to the Clinton Foundation. You don’t need much imagination to figure that he was close with Clinton Foundation operatives who relayed information to the State Department, which then called the FBI to complete the loop. This wasn’t intelligence. It was likely opposition research from the start.

In no way would a fourth-hand report from a Maltese professor justify wholesale targeting of four or five members of the Trump campaign. It took Christopher Steele, with his funding concealed through false campaign filings, to be incredibly successful at creating a vast echo chamber around his unverified, fanciful dossier, bouncing it back and forth between the press and the FBI so it appeared that there were multiple sources all coming to the same conclusion.

Time and time again, investigators came up empty. Even several sting operations with an FBI spy we just learned about failed to produce a DeLorean-like video with cash on the table. But rather than close the probe, the deep state just expanded it. All they had were a few isolated contacts with Russians and absolutely nothing related to Trump himself, yet they pressed forward. Egged on by Steele, they simply believed Trump and his team must be dirty. They just needed to dig deep enough.

Perhaps the murkiest event in the timeline is Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s appointment of a special counsel after he personally recommended Comey’s firing in blistering terms. With Attorney General Jeff Sessions shoved out of the way, Rosenstein and Mueller then ignored their own conflicts and took charge anyway. Rosenstein is a fact witness, and Mueller is a friend of Comey, disqualifying them both.

Flush with 16 prosecutors, including a former lawyer for the Clinton Foundation, and an undisclosed budget, the Mueller investigation has been a scorched-earth effort to investigate the entirety of the Trump campaign, Trump business dealings, the entire administration and now, if it was not Russia, maybe it’s some other country.

The president’s earlier legal team was naive in believing that, when Mueller found nothing, he would just end it. Instead, the less investigators found, the more determined and expansive they became. This president and his team now are on a better road to put appropriate limits on all this.

This process must now be stopped, preferably long before a vote in the Senate. Rather than a fair, limited and impartial investigation, the Mueller investigation became a partisan, open-ended inquisition that, by its precedent, is a threat to all those who ever want to participate in a national campaign or an administration again.

Its prosecutions have all been principally to pressure witnesses with unrelated charges and threats to family, or just for a public relations effect, like the indictment of Russian internet trolls. Unfortunately, just like the Doomsday Machine in “Dr. Strangelove” that was supposed to save the world but instead destroys it, the Mueller investigation comes with no “off” switch: You can’t fire Mueller. He needs to be defeated, like Ken Starr, the independent counsel who investigated President Clinton.

Finding the “off” switch will not be easy. Step one here is for the Justice Department inspector general report to knock Comey out of the witness box. Next, the full origins of the investigation and its lack of any real intelligence needs to come out in the open. The attorney general, himself the target of a secret investigation, needs to take back his Justice Department. Sessions needs to act quickly, along with U.S. Attorney John Huber, appointed to conduct an internal review of the FBI, on the Comey and McCabe matters following the inspector general report, and then announce an expanded probe into other abuses of power.

The president’s lawyers need to extend their new aggressiveness from words to action, filing complaints with the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility on the failure of Mueller and Rosenstein to recuse themselves and going into court to question the tactics of the special counsel, from selective prosecutions on unrelated matters, illegally seizing Government Services Administration emails, covering up the phone texts of FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, and operating without a scope approved by the attorney general. (The regulations call for the attorney general to recuse himself from the investigation but appear to still leave him responsible for the scope.)

The final stopper may be the president himself, offering two hours of testimony, perhaps even televised live from the White House. The last time America became obsessed with Russian influence in America was the McCarthy hearings in the 1950s. Those ended only when Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis.) attacked an associate of the U.S. Army counsel, Joseph Welch, and Welch famously responded: “Sir, have you no decency?” In this case, virtually every associate and family member of the president has been subject to smears conveniently leaked to the press.

Stopping Mueller isn’t about one president or one party. It’s about all presidents and all parties. It’s about cleaning out and reforming the deep state so that our intelligence operations are never used against opposing campaigns without the firmest of evidence. It’s about letting people work for campaigns and administrations without needing legal defense funds. It’s about relying on our elections to decide our differences.

TIMELINE .......... How it will destroy the liberals
C&P
1. January 6, 2017, 9:44 a.m. FBI Chief of Staff James Rybicki sent an email to unspecified recipients stating, "the director is coming into HQ briefly now for an update from the sensitive matter team."

2. January 6, 2017, afternoon. Director Comey met with President-elect Trump.

3. January 7, 2017. Director Comey memorialized his discussion with President-elect Trump via an email to senior FBI leadership. Director Comey wrote, "I said there was something that Clapper wanted me to speak to PE [President Elect] about alone or in a very small group." Director Comey wrote, "I then executed the sessions exactly as I had planned," and "I said media like CNN had them and were looking for a news hook."

4. January 8, 2017, 12:08 p.m. Then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe sent an email to senior FBI leadership with the subject line "Flood is coming." Mr. McCabe wrote, "CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story. ... The trigger for them [CNN] is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment."

5. January 8, 2017, 12:55 p.m. Mr. McCabe emailed then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and then-Principal Deputy Attorney General Matthew Axelrod with the subject line "News." Mr. McCabe wrote, "Just an FYI, and as expected, it seems CNN is close to running a story about the sensitive reporting."

Two days later on January 10, 2017, CNN ran the story about the unverified and salacious allegations made in the anti-Trump dossier with BuzzFeed publishing the dossier within a couple hours of CNN's report.

The Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs released new emails on Monday night that show that Obama administration officials coordinated with each other to help CNN run a damaging story on President-elect Donald Trump based on salacious and unverified information contained in a politically-motivated dossier financed by Trump's political enemies.

The emails, obtained by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), show that the Obama-era officials used coded language to refer to the Steele dossier.

Ontario elections tonight:
First time in approx. 25 years, Beau went to the polls...& proudly supported a new Leader.
- our Progressive Conservatives, just WON a majority Provincial Government here / results called, 40 minutes
after polls closed (PC's in Canada - compares to Republican, in USA)
- with Toronto Alderman Doug Ford, that won the party leadership...a short time ago
^^ Delighted with Doug Ford and his VICTORY platform / a mini Donald Trump, in the making...
- and the Fake Canadian News Outlets (Left wing BS) reported a neck to neck race...but race was over very quickly

Summary
ON. SEATS // 63=Majority Win
PC=75 / NDP=39 / LIB=7 / GRN=1
... @ 11:37 pm
Liberals (former elected party...like Democrats) need 8 seats / for official opposition status (funding).

Ontario has given Doug Ford carte blanche to do virtually anything he wants...

Ontarians have voted to shake things up.

By electing Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservatives, a strong plurality of voters have signalled that they are no longer satisfied with the centre-left policies promoted by Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals and Andrea Horwath’s New Democrats.

Instead, they are opting for a return to the old-time religion of tax and spending cuts.

In doing so, they have given Ford carte blanche to do virtually anything he wants.

Some of the former Toronto councillor’s pledges are known.

He has promised, for instance, to pull out of the California-Quebec cap and trade system that Wynne’s government joined in order to fight climate change.

And he has promised tax cuts for big and small business as well as middle and upper income individuals.

But what spending cuts he will make to finance these promises remains a mystery.

Ford has said only that he plans to find close to $6 billion a year in so-called efficiencies.

One of his first actions is likely to be a wide-ranging spending review with an eye to finding these efficiencies.

Christine Elliott, a former leadership rival who is expected to be one of the key figures in a Ford cabinet, has already said that any review would take a close look at health-care spending, where she said billions are being squandered.

Ford’s victory also spells the beginning of the end of Ontario’s controversial infatuation with renewable energy. The PC leader has said he won’t sign any more wind and solar contracts and will try to renegotiate those that already exist.

He has said he will fight any attempt by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government to levy a carbon tax on Ontario. Trudeau has said he would impose such a tax on any province that does not have its own plan for battling climate change.

Toward the end of her mandate, Wynne put in place a series of leftish social policies, including free pharmacare for those under 25 and free post-secondary tuition for low-income students.

It’s not clear if Ford will roll back any of these.

Nor is it clear whether he’ll cancel modest new measures the Liberals put in place to help precarious workers.

The Tories have said they will scupper plans to raise the minimum wage from $14 to $15 per hour next January.

They have also signalled plans to axe regulations that interfere with business profitability. They will argue that this is the mandate Ontarians have given them.

What the PCs plan to do is half the story.

The other half is Ford himself. Ontarians have chosen as premier a man who has made a political career out of disrupting the status quo.

As a councillor in Toronto, he and his brother Rob carried on a non-stop feud with those they characterized as the downtown elites. The battlegrounds then included bike lanes and subways.

Municipal politics also gave Doug Ford the opportunity to promote odd and unorthodox schemes, such as his plan to turn the Toronto waterfront into an amusement park.

Now that he’s a provincial politician, Ford still expresses animosity toward the so-called downtown elites. But he has a bigger canvas on which to paint his more unusual moves.

The conventional wisdom held that Ford should never have won this contest. In the spring Tory leadership race he was seen as too right wing and too raw. Indeed, he only narrowly defeated Elliott.

In the election campaign proper, critics dismissed him as a buffoon — a Donald Trump clone who could never appeal to centrist Ontario.

His failure to come up with a fully costed platform earned him a spanking from the usual suspects

But like former Tory leader Mike Harris in 1995, Ford simply forged ahead, repeating his simple low-tax message and ignoring everything else — including the media.

And as with Harris, his bullheadedness paid off. He won seats in all areas of the province, including Toronto. He won them comfortably.

Time to cash the check. Below is what the PC promised (courtesy of The Star):
Ontario Doug Ford conservative platform, he won on...last night.
- Ontario it's really a 3 party game. Considering Liberals and the NDP are on the left

On taxes: Scrap cap-and-trade and challenge any carbon tax imposed by the federal government in court; cut income taxes by 20 per cent for those earning between $43,000 and $86,000; provide a 75 per cent tax credit for child care costs; and lower gasoline taxes by 10 cents per litre;

On jobs: Freeze the minimum wage at $14 per hour and provide an income tax credit for minimum-wage earners;
On health care: Create 15,000 new long-term care beds over the next five years and another 15,000 in 10 years to address hospitals that are over capacity and provide free dental care for low-income seniors;

On education: Repeal the new sex-ed curriculum and restore the old program until it can be replaced with new lesson plans after consultation with parents;

On transit: Take ownership of Toronto’s subway system and build a three-stop Scarborough subway, the Sheppard and Yonge North subway extensions and a downtown relief line;

On hydro: Lower rates by 12 per cent; get rid of Hydro One president and CEO Mayo Schmidt; and cut executive salaries.

Final Summary:
ON. SEATS // 63=Majority Win
PC=76 / NDP=40 / LIB=7 / GRN=1

PC=40.64% / NDP=33.69% / LIB=19.30% / GRN=4.62%
Liberals (former elected party...like Democrats) need 8 seats / for official opposition status (funding).

Well Larry....

I am really going to have to study up on Canadian politics and the issues. I got a primer today as Trump is in Canada for the G-7 summit. It was on the news and talk shows that I listen to in the trucks.

Ontario NDP platform proposes big spending on health care, social services.

The Liberals / not much better.
- The overall size of the budget, which pumps billions into health care, child care and other programs, has grown to $158.5 billion this year, up nearly 12 per cent from $141.1 billion last year.

^^ Why the more center to right, FORD NATION (PC Leader) won the voters hand...last night.

Beau is embarrassed to say, we have incompetent Justin Trudeau (as our Liberal leader Federally)...a beta SJW.
- I refused to vote, as a protest...3 years ago
- but the son of a former Prime Minister, he was destined to win (on name alone)

Trump calls for Russia to be reinstated to G-7, threatens allies on trade.

G7 — World Throws Tantrum As President Trump Puts America First..MAGA!

Leading up to the G7 summit, the entirety of the world Left, from Eurocrats to Media to American Democrats, are angry and supposedly fearful over President Trump starting a new trade war and tearing down the post World War II world order. They claim he is destabilizing the western world and much of the globe.

But that stability was for too long built on America shouldering everyone else’s load, from military protection for Europeans who could afford to do more for their own defense to unfavorable trade deals with those same Europeans and non-allied competitors such as China. In the decade or two after WWII decimated the world, that probably made sense. Maybe even through the fall of the Soviet Union in 1988, although that is less clear. But by 2018?

A shakeup in that part of the Post-War order is long overdue, and many common-sense Americans know this. And it may ultimately be good for the Europeans, depending on their long-term response.

The global pre-G7 hand-wringing and anger of the elitist Left is more akin to a child who has been coddled and spoiled and is suddenly being held to account for his actions. That child is naturally going to be angry and throw a tantrum.

This is most clear with our cushioned western European allies. Our eastern European allies are less elitist, less cushioned and have a more pro-American take.

Donald Tusk, President of the European Council and an elitist bureaucrat among elitist bureaucrats, arrogantly dismissed President Trump as mere “seasonal turbulence.” It’s really pitch perfect for exactly what is wrong in Europe, including that this man, a “president,” is utterly unaccountable and unreachable by any European voters.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said after Trump criticized European leaders for not spending what they promised to spend on military as part of NATO — part of America shouldering an undue share of their burden: “the times when we could fully rely on others are to some extent over.”

Germany has been one of the biggest leeches on the American military, and thus American taxpayer, even though they were at the front line of the Iron Curtain. If Merkel is saying “fully rely” on America to carry too much of the German defense burden, then hopefully she is right. It doesn’t mean we aren’t allies.

But Merkel, arguably the worst Post-War German Chancellor (counting only West Germans when the nation was divided) has continued on her anti-Trump, and anti-America-first rhetoric leading up to the G7.

Just Wednesday, she said, “That was my takeaway from the NATO summit, and in the meantime I continue to feel confirmed by my statement…All of that confirms the assessment that the world is being reorganized.”

Merkel, along with French, Belgium, Norway, Sweden and other western European leaders combine the NATO comments with Trump’s decision to exit from the Paris global climate treaty — which has since been revealed to be the empty vessel it was — and his exit from the Iran nuclear “accord” last month with his push for more fair trade for Americans, as a threat.

It’s only a threat to the coddled. Ultimately, forcing the Europeans to stand more firmly on their own two legs, and compete for fairly, will be good for them unless they just lay on the floor scream in tantrum mode. They probably will not. After an adjustment period, they will begin altering policies to reflect the new reality and potentially become more lean and competitive and be able to carry more of their own defense load.

Because the reality is that the American economy is rocking from top to bottom, and a lot of it is due directly to the election of Trump and his deregulation and tax policies.

Here is a telling confession from a top American economist: “A lot of us economists have had our long-term forecasts ruined by the election of Donald Trump,” Moody Managing Director and Chief Economist John Lonski told Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney. “The idea was that growth would be stuck at 2 percent indefinitely, stagnation had set in for the long run and now we’re not so sure that is necessarily going to be the cast.”

GDP growth is now estimated to be 3.5 percent this year. Trump has changed the domestic paradigm as he is working on the international paradigm.

Trump upsetting the table cart domestically has meant net good things for all Americans who don’t want to just live on the dole. It can mean the same for our European allies, too. But they’ll have to adjust.

We won’t see that sentiment at the G7 summit. But we might down the road.

The Ontario general election was held on June 7, 2018, to elect the 124 members of the 42nd Parliament of Ontario. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, led by Doug Ford, won a majority government defeating Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals and Andrea Horwath’s NDP.

Anyone else think that Trump's stating that Russia should be re-admitted back to G-7 (G-8) has an ulterior motive of letting China know they aren't our only alternative when it comes to foreign power politics and alliances? Three world powers and the shifting allegiances/negotiations between them make a much more stable world than a 2 power one is. (Check out Bismark's foreign policy (famous German stateman, 1870--1890's) Bismarck?s Foreign Policy 1871-1890)

"Russia was added to the political forum from 1997, which the following year became known as the G8. In March 2014 Russia was suspended following the annexation of Crimea, whereupon the political forum name reverted to G7. In 2017 Russia announced its permanent withdrawal from the G8; however, numerous representatives of G7 countries stated that they would be interested in Russia's return to the group." Wiki

Of course, now that Trump is saying it, everyone is against the idea.

Our new provincial Leader Doug Ford, sounds like a Mini-Me Trump and will drive the Left & Fake MSM nuts...

PS - Ontario Premier Doug Ford, is the brother of deceased Bob Ford / and they started the FORD NATION camp.

https://www.cnn.com/2016/03/22/us/ro...ies/index.html
(CNN) Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has died, according to his chief of staff, Dan Jacobs.

Bob Ford, who had been battling an aggressive form of cancer, served for a decade as a city councilor before being elected mayor in 2010.

The 46-year-old Ford gained international notoriety after a video surfaced in May 2013 that apparently showed him using crack cocaine.

He was re-elected to the City Council in 2014 and was serving in that role at the time of his death.

- Rob Ford, the Toronto city councillor who became the world's most famous .... Robert Bruce Ford, the son of self-made millionaire Doug Ford Sr.

– in 10 tweets.
#TOpoli #ONpoli
https://twitter.com/JohnFilion23/sta...62942961242117

More
1. Doug Ford will move very quickly. Doug is an action figure who'll want to demonstrate that there’s a new alpha male running Ontario. No time – and no need - for careful analysis before acting.

2. Doug Ford will be persistently combative. Doug is a brawler who won the fight. The other side can try to swing back – and he'll be delighted if they do, so he has a reason to flatten them again.

3. Doug Ford will be deliberately divisive: he’ll want to keep his supporters cheering and the other side booing. That’s all part of the show.

4. For Doug Ford, politics is a continuous battle. The next campaign will start the first day in office.

5. Doug Ford wants attention. If things get too quiet or are going too smoothly, he’ll create controversy so that the media will be forced to pay attention.

6. Expect Doug Ford's Trump-like attacks on mainstream media. He'll use friendly media, his own media, and rallies “for the people.” The Star, Globe and CBC will be characterized as elite establishment who will do anything to stop him from helping people.

7. Doug Ford will totally control the PC party, demanding total loyalty. Any PCs who don't follow him anywhere he wants to go will be sidelined.

8. Doug Ford will expect a partisan bureaucracy, likely causing a big turnover in its ranks. If bureaucrats attempt to provide independent advice that contradicts what he wants, they will be replaced.

9. Expect outrageous statements by Doug Ford. Also ethical lapses by him and other Conservative MPPs who will be so partisan in their approach that they'll see helping political and personal friends as part of the normal role of government.

10. Expect from Doug Ford a Trump-like propensity for untruths, the distortion of reality and extreme exaggeration – especially when describing his accomplishments and public support for his actions.

But Seriously, the Rock Should Not Run for President of the United States
Jeremy Gordon // May 16, 2017

The election of Donald Trump as the President of the United States meant a great many things for America, one of them being the complete obliteration of conventional wisdom about who should run for president. That Trump, a failed businessman and admitted sexual abuser, could pivot off his fame as a bloviating reality star to become the leader of the free world theoretically meant anyone could. Trump’s core strengths were his preloaded familiarity with the electorate, amidst a sea of Scotts and Rands, and his undeniable charisma in front of a crowd. Surely, there might be another popular celebrity without Trump’s inherent loathsomeness who could follow his insurgent model, and run in 2020.

And lo, rumors about these potential candidates have emerged like cicadas from their slumber, as basically every rich person with an ego has openly pondered the possibility. Mark Cuban, Oprah Winfrey, Kanye West, and Mark Zuckerberg are some of the more prominent, unconventional options who might seek the Democratic bid in the near future, or mount their own independent campaigns. (On a smaller scale, Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus was asked to run for office.) If you want to imagine hell, picture the future 2020 debate between Trump and Zuckerberg, both out-of-touch billionaires who take to the average citizen as naturally as a cat takes to water.

But none of these prospective campaigns have been greeted as enthusiastically as Dwayne Johnson, aka the Rock. Following his rise to public consciousness in WWE as a wildly charismatic wrestler, Johnson has since become the most successful action movie star in the world. He’s exceptionally handsome, a great speaker, wildly friendly, charmingly multiracial, and pro-military without being gauche about it. If you conferred those traits upon an average politician, you’d earmark him for future success in the party.

Though the joke of electing the proprietor of the Smackdown Hotel to the highest office in the land has circulated for some time, the conversation crystallized last week with the publication of a new GQ profile titled “Dwayne Johnson for President!” (The right-wing National Review ran a piece pushing the idea before GQ’s story, but they didn’t grab an interview with Johnson.) In the piece, GQ’s Caity Weaver asked the Rock about the possibility he’d run. “I think that it’s a real possibility,” he said. He also gave a diplomatic response about the question of why he didn’t endorse either Trump or Hillary Clinton—”it might sway an opinion, which I didn’t want to do”—and didn’t explicitly critique Trump when asked what he’d like to see from the administration.

“If [becoming the president] is something he focused on,” Ron Meyer, the vice chairman of NBCUniversal is quoted as saying, “he probably would accomplish it. I think there’s nothing that he couldn’t do.”.............

The Obama Iran Deal Gets Curiouser and Curiouser

Now, the timing of this is somewhat interesting as well. We’re in the midst of the left and the Democrats, while the Obama legacy is being whittled away and erased, there are a number of Obamaites that are doing their best to restructure it and to try to remind everybody how wonderful Obama was, and Obama was a citizen of the world, and the world was safer, America was greater, and all these things.

And the Obama people loved to run around and say, “We never had a scandal. The Obama administration was one of the few ever that was scandal free.” So I looked into this. It’s a Fox News story. If I were to read the story to you, believe me, you would think we’re in the weeds here after not too much time. So let me summarize what this story says.

In 2016, a bank in Oman had $5.7 billion worth of Iranian assets in rials, the currency. The Iranians wanted the rials converted to euros. So the Obama Treasury department issued a special license to the bank in Oman to allow that, but they still needed a U.S. bank to convert. But there were U.S. sanctions in place, and those sanctions prohibited American banks from doing anything that aided Iran financially.
But that didn’t stop the Obama Regime. The Obama Regime asked two banks to go ahead and convert the rials to euros, which is what the Iranians wanted. But these banks still refused. These two banks stood up to Obama and they said, “No. We’re not gonna do this.” So Obama then arranged for the $5.7 billion worth of Iranian assets in rials to be converted to euros.

In other words, this was money that was Irans, it was frozen, it was theirs, they wanted it back, and Obama endeavored to get it back to them, in spite of sanctions. And he ordered a couple of American banks to violate sanctions to do the conversion from rials to euros, and the two banks that he hit up refused. So he went to European banks, who willingly did what Obama wanted to do because, of course, there’s nobody greater than Obama.

The scandal in all of this is the U.S. gave a license to this bank in Oman, in the middle of sanctions on Iran, the Obama administration granted a license to this Oman bank to start moving the Iranian money around. Number two. They tried to get two U.S. banks to break the law by ignoring U.S. sanctions, which prohibited Iran from accessing the U.S. financial system.

In other words, for Iran to get that $5.7 billion, the U.S. financial system would have to be involved. Sanctions prohibited this. Obama made it happen. This is 2016. This is right in the timeline with the Iranian nuclear deal. There is a Republican investigation that’s uncovered all of this and the Obama administration lied to Congress about it. They misled Congress on possible Iranian access to the U.S. financial system.

This is in addition to Obama coming up with a bunch of millions of dollars in euros in cash that he delivered to the Tehran airport on pallets that was ostensibly ransom payment to get American hostages released. And as time goes on, everybody is beginning to wonder, what in the world was it about Iran and Obama? Why in the world was Obama so interested in helping them?

He facilitated their acquisition of nuclear power by virtue of the Iran deal. He signed the Iran — he didn’t sign it. The Iran deal has never been signed, never been verified, it doesn’t obligate the United States any way. It’s why Trump was so easily able to withdraw from it. The Iranians never signed it.

Now, the companion story is that the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini said Iran is set to boost the enrichment capacity of their nuclear operation if the nuclear deal flounders. So here you have one of the mullahs essentially saying, “Yeah, we are gonna go ahead and enrich. We’re gonna start our centrifuges, and we’re gonna up our capacity, especially if you pull out of the deal.”

Iran’s top leader said Monday he had ordered preparations to increase uranium enrichment capacity if the nuclear deal with world powers falls apart after the U.S. withdrawal. He vowed never to accept limits on Tehran’s ballistic missile program. Let me give you a hint: He didn’t accept limits on it during the Iran deal with Obama, either. That was not even a deal. It was curious.

The Obama administration, maybe Obama personally, had some stake in Iran strengthening itself. And now this bit about being able to access the U.S. financial system in violation of sanctions with the Obama administration trying to lead the way to make that happen, it just gets curiouser and curiouser and curiouser.RL

to be a woman he is still a male. look how far away the left have taken us from reality.

Political correctness ia a tool of the Culural Marxists. That statement needs to be shouted a million times.

When cultural Marxism is dead and the political centre has moved right again to classical liberalism throughout the Western world then I'll be happy. I don't see that happening for a while and there will most likely be violence along the way although I hope I'm wrong about that.

Delusional - a prediction of wish-fulfillment. Young Americans are almost unanimously behind Political Correctness. What we see in the universities is already spreading into civic government, sport, and industry. It's ossifying in Canada. It's a morbid condition in Sweden and Germany. What we have now is the mild version of what is coming.

Friend --

Remember the days when the "experts" claimed that the Ontario PC Party COULD NOT win an election if they were opposed to carbon taxes? Let's recap, shall we?

Back in March, during the Ontario PC leadership race that saw all four candidates pledge their opposition to carbon taxes, Patrick Brown fan and carbon tax advocate, Mark Cameron, wrote a column entitled "Opposing A Carbon Tax Is Ontario Tories' Fastest Route To Another Defeat."

In his column, Cameron concluded that if the Ontario PC Party wanted to "avoid a repeat of past election failures" and "win over those voters" who would consider voting PC, they HAD to support carbon taxes.

And who can forget Kelly McParland of the National Post?

Back in October, just two weeks after I had my PC membership revoked and was denied entry into Patrick Brown's pro-carbon tax rally, McParland wrote a column entitled "Patrick Brown's victory plan? Stop his own party from screwing up again" where he referred to carbon tax opponents in the PC Party as "dunderheads" who "want just one more internal act of suicide before retiring from the ring."

Last Thursday, these attempts by the "experts" trying to characterize opposition to carbon taxes as a political albatross, came crashing down.

Previously predicted doomsday scenarios failed to unfold.

Instead, the Ontario PC Party led by Doug Ford, won a thunderous 76 seat majority.

Of all of the challenges that the PC campaign endured, none of them had anything to do with Ford's promise to "Axe the Carbon Tax." In fact, the evidence suggests that Ford's opposition to carbon taxes helped to counter the challenges to his campaign. An IPSOS poll released in May revealed that 72 percent of Ontarians thought carbon taxes were just a tax grab, while 68 per cent dismissed them as a purely symbolic gesture.

One of these campaign challenges came from the "ghost of Patrick Brown," as characterized by PC campaign manager Kory Tenyecke.

But it wasn't just Patrick Brown's "ghost" that tried to sabotage the PC campaign.

The self-proclaimed "expert" on "winning", Patrick Brown himself, in the flesh, emerged multiple times in the middle of the election campaign in order to defend his corrupt legacy, promote his pro-carbon tax election platform "the People's Guarantee", criticize PC leader Doug Ford, and try to sabotage the PC Party's chances of winning.

To counter these and other challenges, Ford stayed with his core commitment to "Axe the Carbon Tax" - the same promise he kicked off his PC leadership bid with.

By now, it's possible that Premier-Elect Doug Ford is being surrounded by more "ghosts" of Patrick Brown's carbon tax plan.

It hasn't taken long for carbon tax advocates to start writing all about the "perils" of Ford's plan to scrap Kathleen Wynne's "cap-and-trade" carbon tax and fight Justin Trudeau's "direct" carbon tax.

Luckily for taxpayers in Ontario and across Canada, in his first news conference as Premier-Elect, Ford vowed that he would continue "respecting taxpayers" and that his government would "keep our promises." Click here to watch the news conference.

And today, Ford's spokesman Jeff Silverstein reiterated that sentiment, saying “Doug Ford is committed to stopping Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax and pulling Ontario out of the disastrous cap-and-trade scheme. Doug Ford campaigned on this promise and he will deliver for the people of Ontario.”

Alberta's United Conservative Party leader, Jason Kenney, is already counting on Ford's support in his fight against Justin Trudeau's carbon tax. Click here to watch Kenney's new "Axe-like" video that calls Ford an "ally against the carbon tax."

Ford has vowed to act quickly in his transition into government - aiming to do so in less than 21 days.

For Ontario taxpayers and the more than 2.3 million Ontario voters who gave Ford a mandate to "Axe the Carbon Tax" - the most votes cast for any political party in Ontario's electoral history - that's a good thing.

P.S. You won't believe the excuses now being used by advocates trying to save the carbon tax. I'll write about these and provide some more election analysis next time.

P.P.S. Now with Premier-Elect Doug Ford, Premier Scott Moe, Jason Kenney, and Andrew Scheer, all fighting against the carbon tax, we want to know, do you think the AxeTheCarbonTax.ca campaign should keep going?
