I oppose the wall, the proposed budget cuts to to EPA, PBS, National Endowment for the Arts and many other Federal agencies. He wants to increase spending for Defense and Homeland.

I also don't see the need for him to be spending money traveling around the US holding rallies and his many trips to FL. What is the point? He should be in the White House doing his job and not wasting taxpayer dollars.

The EPA has been doing many more intrusive, unnecessary things than it was proposed to do; PBS and NEA have no Constitutional basis for receiving taxpayer money. The defense of America is a Constitutional duty. Obama seriously weakened and demoralized our military.

Obama spent much more money on his expensive vacations than President Trump has on his rallies.

And.... This is the way it should be . Opposing views. Yet, still willing to have an honest discussion.

I am sick of people pidgin-holing others. Me? I call myself a conservative. However, my social attitudes are way more mainstream.

Obama spent much more money on his expensive vacations than President Trump has on his rallies.
Trump has made 7 trips to Palm Beach at an estimated cost of $3 million each trip. This estimated figure comes from a GAO report U.S. GAO - Presidential Travel: Estimated Costs for a Specific Presidential Trip to Illinois and Florida released October 2016 on a trip President Barack Obama made to Palm Beach in 2013. That trip cost $3.6 million. Now conservatives are estimating that Trump's visits are closer to $1 million each but the estimates from both sides will soon be put to rest when the new report comes out. The GAO recently accepted a request from Democratic lawmakers to examine the costs of Trumpís Mar-A-Lago trips.

I can find no information on costs incurred for protecting Trumpís family. The first lady and son live in New York City and his other sons travel around the world on business.

I am sure the residents and business in Manhattan are happy that he goes to Palm Beach.
You forget that in Washington cost is irrelevant they never work off a budget only raise the debt limit.
That money would have been better spent on some Tomahawk missiles to blow up other peoples stuff! (sarc)

So do you really think it is ok for Trump to "entertain" at a cost of millions of dollars for every trip? I truly don't see how anyone can think that the costs he is piling up with his trips to Florida almost every weekend is justified in any way. Every president deserves a vacation ...... but not almost every weekend, and at the taxpayers expense.

There is this really nice place called "Camp David" that is close and secure...... other presidents used it.

Did you complain about the cost for Obama's many vacations to Hawaii?

More important things: Two more police officers murdered and another seriously injured, plus officers injured (and property destroyed) while trying to control the Mayday demonstrations by George Soros financed thugs. The war against America and law enforcement continues.

I really love you guys wanting to "justify" the cost of government officials actions now!
When they just raised the Debt limit by 1.1 trillion...that is spending beyond what is confiscated from citizens of this country and only for 10 month.
Washington is a very sick place and i do not blame him for wanting to relax somewhere else. I think he may really be a outsider there with much of the repubs and all the Dems and the rest of the Bureaucrats not on his side. He is a threat to them feeding from the public trough like the gluttons they are
I do believe it is wrong and a illegitimate cost to the tax payer to fund these trips but the precedent was set long ago. The can of fiscal responsibility has been kicked so far down that road that no budget cuts can slow what is coming. I see the behavior as someone who knows they are to to file bankruptcy and maxes all the credit they have before doing so.

From "Portlandia".

A permitted protest marching in downtown Portland, turned into an officially declared riot here yesterday.

Arson, Vandalism, Looting, Assaults. 25 protesters were arrested.

I am sick of this s**t being perpetrated by the far left wing, loosely affiliated, organizations.

In case anyone is interested in our "Sanctuary City", I put this up for your perusal:

So Mayday is a "Holiday" in Portland? The officials cancel one gathering a week before because of violence is threatened by a group and allows a gathering of people which is more sympathetic to the people that threatened violence. Irrational!!!

There is this really nice place called "Camp David" that is close and secure...... other presidents used it.
Camp David is described as rustic and is somewhat low on the amenities list. A description of it sounds like a National Park listing of nearby “entertainment” options.

"Camp David is a rustic getaway in a wooded setting with lots of outdoor and indoor activities available. One of the most fun aspects of Camp David is that guests are given golf carts as their main mode of transportation around the retreat.

There are tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a swimming pool, skeet range, nearby fishing and horseback riding. There is a golf driving range near the helicopter landing zone and a single golf hole with multiple tee boxes outside Aspen Lodge.

You can go bowling, watch movies, work out at the fitness center, play basketball, and shoot some pool. Meandering hilly trails are ideal for long walks and bike rides. In the winter, you can go cross-country skiing, sledding, ice skating and snowmobiling. There is also the Evergreen Chapel, a non-denominational place of worship."

Unfortunately many of today’s world leaders (dictators--the ones we need to impress, like it or not) equate opulence with power; the more luxurious the setting for meetings, the more power they think a president has.

"The whole point is that dictators’ homes aren’t for one’s family, friends or private self; they’re not a refuge from the world or the job. Dictators’ homes, in fact, are the job—a place to do business, harangue people and settle scores, all while one’s entourage stays nearby. They are an architectural and artistic means of establishing the power of the occupants, of intimidating and impressing any visitor.”
Politico magazine

What that says about Trump’s proclivities you can judge for yourself. But many of the dignitaries Trump is entertaining (or those he might see in the future) come from a world where flashy = command and control. And that is what they expect/respect in a world leader.

I’m not particularly OK with many personal trips made by the President to his vacation home, but I can see the value of his diplomatic visits there.

This is the left in America today. Conservatives cannot speak at public colleges because they may hurt snowflake feelings and cause them to riot, but the protesters must be allowed to have their way no matter what. Who runs the colleges and universities today? Certainly not the administrators. Furthermore, who controls the (liberal) cities today? One clue; it is not the hard working tax payers.

In old world speak liberal is not such a bad thing but this latest incarnation or reincarnation of the left side are straight up Marxist pushing a hate for all things human. I do not think they even like themselves. If demons are roaming the earth now they are finding a home inside the shells of these marxist thugs!

Quite the opposite of the Harrisburg, PA protest. Violence never solves anything. I certainly don't condone it whether it's from the right, left or in between. People should be able to voice their opinions in a peaceful manner.

Okay.....

I will say that if you consider yourself far left or a progressive, given your perspective, you should stay as far away from Portland as possible. There hasn't been a trouble free protest or march in years. Oh.... and FYI, it ain't the "Right Wing Nuts" that perpetrate this abhorrent behavior.

True in this situation that it isn't the far right. The human race in general has the capacity to be quite hateful.

Throughout the campaign, however, I saw plenty of vile and hateful FB posts from both sides about Clinton, Trump and even Obama. They all made me sick to my stomach.

Those that post such vile, hateful things should reflect as they as the ones who incite hate and violence.

For me personally, I respect everyone's opinion no matter who they support and hope that I have the same respect for my opinions.

Off my soapbox now and back to Doberman pictures 😊

Left vs Right
Capri was liberal; Kip is definitely conservative. Notice he is trying to defend himself from Capri’s obnoxicity (new word we’ve needed for a long while.)

What's happening in the States with all these protests... not that I really follow what you mean by left/right... I just see people acting like reprobates and it reminds me very much of when the UK descended into madness back in 2011 over treatment from police/government/life etc.

Just a reminder that today is The National Day of Prayer. All believers please pray for America, her people, and for President Trump and his administration.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever.

Lawyers don't lie!!

A lawyer had a wife and 12 children and needed to move as his rental agreement was coming to an end for the home where he lived but was having difficulty in finding a new home.

When he said he had 12 children, no one would rent a home to him. He could not say that he had no children, he could not lie, after all, lawyers cannot and do not lie. So, he had an idea.

He sent his wife for a walk to the cemetery with 11 of their children. He took the remaining one with him to see homes with a real estate agent.

He liked one of the homes and the agent asked, "How many children do you have? He answered, "12 children. The agent asked, "Where are the others?

The lawyer answered, with a sad look, "They are in the cemetery with their mother".

And that's the way the lawyer was able to rent a home for his family without lying.

The Moral of the story is:

It is not necessary to lie, one only has to choose the right words.

Lawyers don't Lie ...they are creative ........and don't forget: most politicians are lawyers......

STUNNING: Democrat Party Argues in Court It Had Right to Favor Hillary Over Bernie - Is in No Way Beholden to Voters

This is interesting in the way the DNC is arguing their case. I felt the way the DNC was treating Bernie was much the same way Ron Paul was treated in 08 and 12. I think both parties are guilty of picking the candidate they want early on regardless of how the populous would vote. Trump somehow broke every rule when it comes how the powers to be destroy someone who is not of their ilk. I doubt a person of Trumps nature would ever get through the process again using the current two party system. I do think we may see both major parties spliting themselves since both sides seem to be very tired career politicians.
