I am very certain that President Elect Trump will not fall for the sweet talk from Obama or Mrs Clinton. Both of them will stab him in the back at the first opportunity. Still waiting for either of them to denounce the thugs protesting the victory of Donald Trump.

As to the crying about not finding a job, could not one reason be the destruction of our economy by the the actions of the free market hating Obama administration?

They are not thugs. They are very upset Americans that are using their first amendment rights and not hurting anyone. While I may not agree with the protests since I find them a bit pointless, all they do is block traffic and parade around. I wish they'd find a more effective use of their time but as long as they don't hurt people, the president cannot speak out against them.

I do wish Trump would speak out to his supporters however and tell them that just because he won the election, does not mean that they can celebrate by assaulting people and defacing property with nasty messages and signs in spray paint.

I place more blame on CEOs and supposed business for lack of jobs rather than government. All they want is to earn a quick buck at the expense of the american public so they move jobs to other countries. There needs to be more regulation on businesses trying to outsource jobs if there is to be any change.

@ Ix....

They ARE thoughtless thugs. One of my best friends is a single mother of 3 and was stuck on mass transit yesterday for three hours, simply trying to get home to make dinner and feed her kids. She works for the city and I guarantee you that she voted for Secretary Clinton. At least in my city.... These protesters are self entitled losers who contribute nothing to our community .

I am really sorry that you have to hide behind your gender identification and ethnicity to feel validated with respect to your political point of view.

I just cannot relate. My father was born and raised in Brazil (Brasil). He never even set foot in the US until he enlisted in the US Navy during WW11 after high school graduation. I grew up in a Detroit. Had you ever been to pre-1967 Detroit? Beautiful... Post... A war zone.

These protesters are spoiled brats, who have been living off the sweat and blood of hard working middle class Americans.

They all need to get a life. And they can all KMA.

My son is a Millennial. 33 yo. He has been with the same woman for 14 years, they have a wonderful child, a beautiful house and a very successful business. Why? Because they don't piss and moan and blame others. The took the bull by the horns and ran with it

It is a no brainer. The world does not OWE YOU A LIVING! In the dog world its referred to as NILF. If more of these self entitled spoil brats could grasp that concept, our country might have a chance..

On certain forums, I an one of the first to jump into the fray. Here on DT, I generally try not to mix it up. But extreme naiveté coupled with an adament POV, sometimes just raises my hackles.

Sorry, Mods... If iI crossed the line, I understand if you delete my post.

First let me say, I am a Canadian
- our middle class, is severely shirking by Govn-World Order design / Liberal-Conservative doesn't seem to matter much.
- these countries have only piled on huge debt loads, for generations to come
- income/property/harmonized/hidden & new carbon taxes plus utility expenses, are out of control now
So American politics, I've found most interesting since 2008 and study it while sharing my opinions.
- enjoyed the Hillary / Obama Liberal race
- the last 2 Republicans (2008 & 12), were very poor choices with little chance of winning

2016 run & Trump victory over glass ceiling breaker Hillary, is nothing short of fascinating & will be analysed for decades.
- the only difference is we're watching bad things happen to bad people, as opposed to bad things happening to good people / exactly why the presidency wasn't run on gender
- the USA will get a Female President, in the future / but not one with baggage & flawed for decades

FYI - I will voice my views here, as my choice to support free speech / and I only mean this in a positive way.
- but I find the left often like to dictate the right / not good for anyone...and I don't pretend to be Tone-Deaf either
Its not gloating - I predicted a Trump win 1.5 years ago & equally joked about Clinton, Cruz, Sanders & Trump.
- its looking for a leader, to run today's free world & take on the Global Establishment, for the working class / is no small feat
- its never fun loosing, but not everyone gets a trophy & neither can we put our heads in the sand, to changes we don't always agree with or like
That's the beautify of politics, it never gets old / and one needs to stay on top of the ever-evolving information.

Lessons Learned - analyzing Politics is like study of History.
So if you looked at the election for a positive female role model.
H R Clinton was not it, if I had a daughter, I be mentoring her as far away from the career politician crook, and far Left, as possible.
But Kellyanne Conway stands out IMPO, like a CEO for a Fortune 500 Company.
- any young FM can aspire to their achievements & goals / choosing a career path with smarts, confidence & integrity

While I've mentored our only son & he now co-owns a successful-award winning medium sized company / politics affects marketing, sales growth, profits or losses & daily judgement decisions in any business, something that one can't just turn on/off, on a 4 year election cycle.
- its not like the Olympics, after all
- son also held down a 35 hour week Armored Guard ATM driver job while attending College (full time), with a 3.84 GPA.
For a young man in his early 30's - he has never got a feel good trophy, for attendance / but his hard work & honesty, has served him well.

Why Donald Trump Picked Kellyanne Conway to Manage his Campaign

Job One: manage the candidate

On a dreary day in January 2013, House Republicans gathered at a golf resort in Williamsburg, Va., for an unusual seminar. Two months earlier, the GOP had squandered a golden chance to grab control of the Senate. A series of wrongheaded remarks, such as Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin’s comments about “legitimate rape,” had frittered away winnable races and dragged colleagues into the controversies. To avoid repeating those mistakes, party officials brought in Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway to make a presentation.

Conway’s instructions were blunt. Stop talking about rape, she told the largely male audience. It was a “four-letter word” that has no place in political campaigns, especially as Democratic opponents castigate the party for its alleged “war on women.” Conway’s words carried the weight of experience. Akin had been her client.

Now Conway is advising another candidate with a penchant for provocative remarks. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump named Conway his campaign manager on Aug. 17, just weeks after she joined his effort as a senior adviser. The decision already appears to be paying off. In the week since elevating the veteran GOP strategist, Trump has tried to tame his tongue. He has swapped freewheeling speeches for TelePrompTers and policy addresses, expressed regret for unspecified offenses and signaled that he may be considering a softer position on illegal immigration. He even traveled to Louisiana for a conventional candidate photo-op, where he was briefed on flood rescue plans.

Party insiders and Trump aides alike give some of the credit to Conway. Her job, they say, is as much about managing the candidate as it is overseeing the nuts and bolts of his ground game. In the final stretch of the campaign, Trump has decided to rely on the veteran GOP strategist, 49, to devise a plan to reverse his sliding polls, sing his praises on TV and provide a stabilizing presence in a haphazard operation. And while Conway isn’t the first professional operative to be handed the role, she seems—at least so far—to be breaking through in ways her predecessors could not.

“She is very effective, not just at communicating a message, but understanding what message works for what person,” says a senior Republican Party official. Just as important as devising a pitch for specific demographic groups is crafting one that will resonate with Trump. And Conway, the official says, is proving to be adept at managing someone “who doesn’t want to feel managed.”

Conway has run her polling firm, The Polling Company/WomanTrend, for more than two decades, advising corporate clients and top Republican officeholders like former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who Trump tapped as his running mate. Much of her work has focused on how to reach out to women, and she is the co-author of a 2005 book, What Women Really Want, with Democratic pollster Celinda Lake.

During the battle over health-care reform in 2009 and 2010, Conway advised the GOP to ditch its wonky, stats-heavy messaging campaign against Barack Obama’s plan in favor of a narrative that emphasized how the overhaul would affect ordinary people. She has helped female Republican legislators craft policies on issues like equal pay and childcare, though none of that legislation was signed into law. And she counsels party members to counter the “war on women” narrative by explaining how their policies will fatten voters’ pocketbooks.

“She has thought more about the concerns of women than any other Republican I know,” Gingrich wrote in an email to TIME. “She is direct but pleasant, and will be a big asset to Trump in shifting from primary to general election mode.”

Conway, who once lived in a Trump building, has known her new boss for about a decade. She served as an informal adviser to Trump during his flirtation with a 2012 presidential campaign. When the New York developer briefly mulled a bid for the Empire State governorship in 2014, Conway conducted a poll assessing his chances. And when Trump moved toward launching his presidential campaign in 2015, she was approached about joining the effort. But Conway, who did not respond to an interview request for this story, instead signed on with Keep the Promise 1, a super PAC organized to support Cruz, who would become Trump’s top rival for the GOP nomination.

Weeks after Cruz bowed out of the race in May, Conway slid over to become a senior adviser to Trump. Since then, she has helped counsel Trump to curb his outbursts and attempt a more statesmanlike tone, including his careful response to the killing of five Dallas police officers during a Black Lives Matter rally. Those efforts have accelerated since she took the helm of the campaign, from his expressions of regret to his unusual outreach campaign ostensibly aimed at African-American voters. “What the hell do you have to lose?” he asked a predominately white crowd during a campaign stop in Michigan.

As a strategist who specializes in helping Republican men refine their pitch to female voters, Conway has taken on tough jobs before. “An outsized ego is no match for Kellyanne Conway,” says Rick Tyler, a Republican strategist who worked with Conway on behalf of Gingrich’s 2012 presidential campaign. “It looks like Trump is actually listening to her.”

But with Trump trailing in national and swing state polls, Conway will have to do more than just temper the candidate’s rhetorical excesses. She will have to chip away at Hillary Clinton’s polling lead, which is fueled by a daunting gender gap. Recent surveys show Trump trails Clinton by about 20 percentage points among women.

“There’s no question” that Donald Trump would be better for American women than Hillary Clinton, Conway told TIME in an interview at the GOP convention in Cleveland. Clinton “runs around saying, ‘I’ll be the first female president.’ Why isn’t she at 70% amongst women?” Conway continued. “She’s nowhere near there, and you know why? It’s because women say, ‘You share my gender, that’s really fascinating, that’s kind of cool, but do you share my vision, do you share my values?’”

Conway likes to say that Republicans can’t treat women—who, after all, comprise the majority of voters—as a traditional interest group. That means not limiting their pitch to subjects like abortion or reproductive rights. The GOP shouldn’t talk to women “from the waist down,” she told TIME in 2014. “Most women say please speak to me from the waist up: my brain, my eyes.”

Lake, her Democratic co-author, says Conway is “a real expert on women voters” who knows how to target key groups who will be receptive to his message. “In our book, we identified religious women, senior survivors, suburban caretakers, and waitress moms, among others, that I would think would be targets for Trump,” Lake told TIME. “She could be a great help to Trump if he listens to her. She has an 11-year-old, so she can use some of the techniques she uses with her.”

Serving as Trump campaign’s leader has proven to be a perilous gig. The candidate who coined the catchphrase “you’re fired” has dispatched two, including Conway’s immediate predecessor Paul Manafort, who was similarly brought on to broaden the businessman’s appeal. And like most operatives with a long record in Washington, she has her share of critics. “Kellyanne is a primary specialist who portrays herself as a specialist with women,” says Republican strategist Katie Packer, who has worked with Conway. “She doesn’t really seem to understand the kind of women the GOP needs to win a general election. That was clearly evident when she was an apologist for Todd Akin and the ‘legitimate rape’ comments.”

Conway stuck with her controversial client in that race. Now she has another one in Trump, whom Republicans are again ready to blame for potentially blowing control of the Senate. This time she is hoping for a better outcome.

Just now: From our local online news forum: Portland police, citing "extensive criminal and dangerous behavior," declared the protest a riot at 8:30 p.m. The bureau said it warned the crowd about the designation, then tweeted that rioting is a class C felony.

The police had taken a stand back and watch attitude for 2 days. No longer. Because, that was bull crap. Been hearing sirens now for an hour or more. About time. And this is happening in the most liberal major city in the country! Its about time these hooligans were rounded up.

Sorry Ixi773.... the folks you feel represent you are effing thugs..... They need prison time to keep good, hard working families safe from violence. They make me sick...

These liberal snowflakes sicken me, they are the most intolerant hateful bunch of people out there. I have watched my own country being destroyed over the last 20 odd years by these people forcing political correctness & their Globalist agenda down our throats aided & abetted by successive Govts.

I have watched as the floodgates have been opened & illegal immigrants wander in at will, where 30 year old men claiming to be "vulnerable children" are bussed in & allowed to claim asylum. Where they have been given free housing & £1000's of taxpayers money a year while our own poor & sick have been the victims of brutal austerity cuts & the poor working class resort to food banks just to feed their family.

I have watched as vulnerable young girls are being plied with alcohol & drugs & abused by groups of Muslim men who see them as little more than pieces of white trash & Sharia courts are popping up all over the country.

I have watched while these people have been allowed to burn Remembrance poppies on the streets on Armistice Day & walk the streets of London carrying the black flag of ISIS yet you want to fly a George Cross flag from your house you are made to take it down for fear of offending them & are labelled a racist.

I have watched as the MSM shamefully try to cover it all up & shut down our right to free speech, where you are labelled as a racist & a xenophobe if you try to speak out against it & won't conform to their way of thinking. We are living in a dystopian society which, quite frankly, I want no part of.

They wonder why Trump won & why the UK voted out in the referendum? They need look no further than their own behaviour & attitude towards their own people. You can only push people so far before they fight back.

Just another deceitful Hillary supporter...and people believe the stories they make -up

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...entrandom_3_na

A student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette fabricated a story that she was attacked and had her hijab rippped off, police said Thursday.

The attack was one of several reported in the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory.

In a press release Thursday afternoon, the Lafayette Police Department said that during the course of their investigation into the woman’s complaint, she “admitted that she fabricated the story about her physical attack as well as the removal of her hijab and wallet by two white males.

“This incident is no longer under investigation” by the department, the statement said.

Can I tell you guys what millennials are ACTUALLY like? For some reason you all seem to think we get a masters in water color painting and live in our mothers basemen, whine because Trump is president, and can't pay our loans back.

I'd love to point out how WRONG you are. I went to the best school in the state (and so did 43k OTHER MILLENNIALS at my school). I graduated with average grades and I've been working full time since my sophomore year. I graduated (recently, within the last two years) and pay my loans back like a normal human being. I have a higher credit score than my parents. Own a nicer car than them, own a nicer house than them, eat better food than them. 98% of my classmates are the same. We got degrees in science and math and accounting and medicine and we are replacing the baby boomers one death at a time.

73% of my county voted dem or third party. Why? Huh, I dunno. Maybe because we are a highly educated population with little poverty. We own businesses, work for innovated tech companies, and make endless advances in healthcare. We have almost zero crime and incredibly clean, safe city. We see how working together works first hand and how the DIVERSITY of people living here has done nothing but empower our workforce and make our city great. I welcome my Jewish, muslim, Hindi and other religious neighbors. They are nothing but kind and peaceful and give so much to our city.

It's not my fault there are millions of people my age that don't get an education or further their careers. That's on them and I have zero sympathy. They can blame Obama or dems or immigrant all they want. But their failures are on them. Because a lot of millennials DID succeed under Obama and with 11mil immigrants in the country.

I have uneducated family members who say "must be nice to have what you have"... excuse me? I worked for EVERYTHING I have. NONE of it was handed to me. I got my first job at 15 and have held a job ever since. My parents didn't give me a cent.

Rant over. I'm just sick of everyone on this forum bashing young folks.

Well.... someone's got to say it: Happy Veterans Day!

Raised my flag this AM to salute all those who have stood up to protect out country and allies.

Bought a new American flag for my antenna as the old one was starting to fray.

Hillary Clinton Tries To Explain Where It All Went Wrong - Live Stream | Zero Hedge

ThanksChump J S Bach Nov 9, 2016 11:20 AM
Deep feelings of schadenfrude aside:

CNN, a common only-source of news, lied about everything to Democrats. "Trump is racist/mysogenist/homophobic!" "Trump will start WW3!" "Trump cannot possibly win!" "Hillary is innocent!"

Not just CNN, either. There are over 50 major media outlets listed by Clinton's campaign director on WikiLeaks, who detailed how CNN et al had been compromised. But CNN repeatedly steered people away from WikiLeaks with "Russia!" "Conspiracy Theorists!" "Alt-Right Bigotry!"

It didn't take long for Democrats to believe the constant stream of lies and half-truths that ALL media seemed to agree on. Democrats believed the lies completely, for over a year!

Today, Democrats feel betrayed, disenfranchised ... lied-to.

Being lied to by someone you trust hurts like a bitch, and correctly identifying the true source of pain/betrayal is not always easy, and it is easily misconstrued, or misdirected by anyone wanting to do so.

If these "news" sources aren't publicly taken to task by, say, a Congressional investigation, then there will be a lot of property damage and unnecessary butthurt.

I also spotted the Popular Vote discrepancy, late in election night.
- switching between FOX & CNN, sometimes looked like a different election unfolding

Note: I am posting this on multple blogs, sorry for any dupes you find
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...rong-live-feed

So, I went to bed AFTER Trumps acceptance speech.

Some election maps gave him Pennsylvania for the win, other used Wisconsin and Michigan to put him over 270 and held back PA as too close to call.

But in either case with over 97% of the national vote counted Trump was UP OVER 1 Million votes in the popular vote count.

I wake up this morning and WTF?

Hillary is not AHEAD in the popular vote count?

That would require OVER 75% of the remaining 3% all voted for HRC?

But Wait there's more, this morning CNN was STILL calling MI, WI, PA, and NH "too close to call"

That means they Could NOT have all 3% of the outstanding vote tallied yet,

SO, WTF while we were all sleeping 100% of the remaining votes, (but not all votes) counted ALL 100% went to HRC???!!!

I'm calling bullshit on this and so should all of you.

Write to senators and congressmen, friends and post of facebook, and get the word out, this is BOGUS

Hillary did NOT win the popular vote as of 1:00 am pacific time with 97% of votes reported in, and about 120+ million Americans voted.

It would be an incredible miracle for her to pick up enough votes to close that lead with LL the remaining votes not counted, and a asteroid strike on your head impossibility that she could do so and they still don’t have enough votes counted to call the results of several states.

Remember Soros,( a billionaire Hillary supporter who "paid" people to "protest" at Ferguson and other events ) owns Diebold, the company that makes the voting machines.

Today, Democrats feel betrayed, disenfranchised ... lied-to.

Being lied to by someone you trust hurts like a bit*h, and correctly identifying the true source of pain/betrayal is not always easy, and it is easily misconstrued, or misdirected by anyone wanting to do so.

If these "news" sources aren't publicly taken to task by, say, a Congressional investigation, then there will be a lot of property damage and unnecessary butthurt.

I do not know what universe you live in, but their actions are those of thugs: They destroy private and tax payer owned property; they attack police officers trying to control the protesting; they cause traffic problems when they block streets and roads; they attack and beat bystanders who get stuck in their riots; many are just paid thugs (paid by H.R. Clinton's friend George Soros thru one of his foundations).

One sunny day in January, 2017, an old man approaches the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue where he’d been sitting on a park bench. He speaks to the U.S. Marine standing guard and says, “I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.”

The Marine looks at the man and says, “Sir, Mr. Obama is no longer President and no longer resides here.” The old man says, “Okay,” and walks away.

The following day the same man approaches the White House and says to the same Marine, “I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.”

The Marine again tells the man, “Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Obama is no longer President and no longer resides here.” The man thanks him and again just walks away.

The third day the same man approaches the White House and speaks to the very same U.S. Marine, saying, “I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.”

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looks at the man and says, “Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Obama. I’ve told you already that Mr. Obama is no longer the President and no longer resides here. Don’t you understand?”

The old man looks at the Marine and says,“Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.”

The Marine snaps to attention, salutes, and says, “See you tomorrow, Sir!”

98% of your class in 2 years has paid off all its loans have high paying jobs have a paid for house paid for cars. I think that sums up your credibility.

Defiantly a Hillery supporter you learned well from her.

And its cool you have kept up with 98% of your graduating class.

My next door neighbor he is a liberal his wife asked my wife vie e mail to have Jon take down his Trump sign because her husband is distraught over the loose and fears for the future of his grandchildren and children and Trump is a despicable person. We did not respond and this ensures that the sign stays up until Thanksgiving. Late Thursday night me and Anzio went for a walk and he took a dump in his flower bed. Good boy Anzio.....

Figured you’ve got “safe" in a holster or two somewhere.

I think I really meant more your town. I’m so tired of young ill-educated misled kids, and the thugs out there for the loot, guided by behind-the-scene anarchists, messing up our towns and destroying small businesses who are actually struggling to provide services in these communities. A quick way to ghettoization and even more hatred of their people and/or causes. Self defeating. Playing right into their covert leaders' hands.

Comment: I initially typed “pugs” instead of “thugs”--was tempted to leave it but didn’t think it would look quite right. Shouldn’t insult a whole dog breed like that.

Obama’s main legacy: the collapse of the Democratic Party
http://nypost.com/2016/11/10/obamas-...ocratic-party/

In the course of about six hours, what was supposed to be a Republican existential crisis turned into a Republican wave.

What was supposed to be a victory of the coalition of the ascendant became a dispiriting rout of the coalition that didn’t show up.

What was supposed to be the crowning political achievement of Barack Obama’s presidency set the predicate for the unraveling of his legacy.

Since before he was elected president, Obama put down as a marker the transformational example of Ronald Reagan. That entailed moving the political center of gravity of the country in his direction; winning re-election; and cementing his standing by securing a de facto third term for a Democratic successor.

As of 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Reagan standard looked to be in Obama’s grasp. His approval rating stood above 50 percent. He campaigned vigorously, and apparently effectively, in front of adoring crowds. The last round of public polling and the exit polls on Election Day showed Hillary Clinton getting over the top, and her victory seemed likely to precipitate an ugly, self-destructive Republican civil war.

By the wee hours of Wednesday, this scenario turned to ashes and Obama could only survey the wreckage of the Democratic Party, and by extension, his highest ambition.

Obama is a once-in-a-generation political athlete who will always be remembered as the nation’s first African-American president. But a goodly portion of what he has labored for over two terms could now wash out with the political tide.

His party has been devastated beneath him. It began in 2010, when Republicans took the House by winning 63 seats, the biggest pickup since 1948, and six seats in the Senate. In 2014, Republicans gained another 13 House seats and took control of the Senate. Democrats lost more than 900 state legislative seats in this period.

This was chalked up to the midterm effect, the product of a smaller, more Republican-leaning electorate in nonpresidential years. Well, on Tuesday night, the GOP won Senate races in blue states. It minimized losses in the House. It picked up more governorships, including in Vermont, and made striking gains in state legislatures from Kentucky to Connecticut.

All in a presidential year. The GOP controls the presidency, the US Senate and House, and roughly two-thirds of the country’s governorships and state legislatures. The Democrats are now, judging by the scorecard of major offices, the nation’s minority party.

What happened? From the beginning, Obama pushed the left-most plausible agenda without regard to political consequences. His signature initiative, ObamaCare, was forced through Congress despite its manifest unpopularity and with the crucial assistance of obvious falsehoods (i.e., that it would reduce premiums and people could keep their doctors).

When Obama’s initial legislative overreach cost him his congressional majorities, he proceeded with executive overreach, especially on environmental regulation and immigration. His attitude was that everyone had to get with his program and that if they didn’t, they were either stupid or spiteful. He believed less in the usual political arts of compromise and personal relationships than in the irresistible power of his own words.

Having made no real effort at party-building and after a series of disastrous midterms where his campaigning basically saved no one, he had no protégé to turn to in order to try to win his third term. The political bench was empty. He had to reach back to his vanquished rival, Hillary Clinton, whose inadequacies he had exposed in the 2008 primaries and who was almost comically ill-suited to energizing the Obama coalition.

Those voters were considered Obama’s enduring political contribution — an ever-growing bloc of minorities, millennials and the college-educated who would swamp older white voters and constitute an ideological ratchet, turning the country’s politics steadily to the left.

In its first big post-Obama test, the coalition failed. Now many of the president’s substantive achievements are under threat from a unified Republican government, especially ObamaCare, which is in a semi-crisis, and his vast number of unilateral actions. President Trump will pick up his own pen and phone.

President Obama’s party is lurching toward its own bloodletting after losing to perhaps the least likely presidential candidate in all of American history.

We now know that President Obama’s larger project has come a cropper. He is no Ronald Reagan, not even close.

Hope these idiots are going to stop protesting soon. My daughter & her boyfriend are flying to New York for a holiday next month. They've worked their butts off for years to save enough money for their trip of a lifetime (something the majority of these people will never understand)

I'll admit, I'm worried for them.
