Doberman After ear cropping

I just got my dobermans ear cropped and few days later her support in his ears got removed due to her inching it. My vet told me to remove it and wait for the stitches and wounds to heal before we proceed in posting the ear. Im worried since my dobies ears right now is not standing. Will it still stand when i wait a few weeks before this heals?

Yes, let them heal completely. After the stitches are removed and there are no spots still healing you can begin the posting process. Generally you will need to post the ears until your puppy is at least 7 months old.

Ditto for Greenkouki's advice. Since you've already taken the ears down all you need to do at this point is leave them alone. The puppy should go back to the vet for the sutures to be removed when you were told to bring him back (generally 7 to 10 days) and then it's just a matter of waiting for the ears to finish healing (often another week or so before the last of the scabs fall off) before you start posting.

And you'll be doing that for several weeks to several months (depending on the crop etc) but the ears will still stand just fine after they've been posted.

You don't want to even try posting until the ears are fully healed.
