Hi all,

I've looked everywhere for what FWIP means, sorry if it's an obvious answer. I've been looking for pics of how I want my pups ears done and keep coming across this "word" but can't find a meaning. Please help, thanks!

I don’t think that is what it means ... I saw a post somewhere (can’t find it now but if I run across it again I will copy and paste it) that someone said when the vet asked about cropping the ears if she wanted the FWIP at the end? Does that have something to do with the way some dobi’s ears have that little flip back at the end?

In this case, I believe pm is correct. I have seen the word used to describe an intentional slight curl at the end of the cropped ear. McCoy has them. Some people like them... Some don't.

As I am nostalgically a fan of the shorter crops from the 70's and 80's, with a bigger bell and more leather, I could do without them.

BTW... In this case, the word is not an acronym so it is written "Fwip", not FWIP or F.W.I.P.

As usual, slang in the contemporary lexicon is often fleeting and confusing at best.

Yes 4x4bike, I that is how I’ve seen it referenced. But can not really find an explanation. And I’ve only seen it written in all caps.

But as for liking it or not ... I’ve seen some with it that I like and some without that I like. So I’m kind of still deciding.

Hoping someone can tell me how it is acquired.

Yes fainfenix I knew it was an old thread but I’ve been told many times To search for a thread first to see if it has already been posted. I’ve also had some of my posts deleted because I was told that the rules state they can only be posted in 1 place. I started to post as new but figured it would be deleted.
