DT Elves and Bonnie Blue and family

Here are the latest pictures from Bonnies foster mom....the pups are loving all
the wonderful gifts...she says a couple of them want to hog all the toys but they are having fun. Thank you to all who cared about these babies.....the news for momma is not so good, her HW load is taking it's toll and she is currently in the hospital because she is throwing blood clots. Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue has accepted her and if you wish to help financially I'm sure they would appreciate any help. Keep Bonnie Blue in your thoughts and prayers today....

I am a bit upset about certain people who volunteered to be rescue elves for this puppy family and mamma - and then just never followed through. I thought about starting a separate thread to say this is NOT a cool thing to do, to post that you want to be an elf, then just blow it off, no PM, no explanation, and then I don't know to notify someone else who might want to take your place. 3 of the people who asked to be elves for this case just did not follow through, and with all those puppies plus mom, there are a lot of needs for when they go to their new homes. Please - you know who you are - be serious, or just don't post. You may think it makes you look good to the forum, but at least one or 2 of us know the truth. If something comes up, and you can't complete your commitment, at least have the decency to let me know. Thank you, and peace. Lois

I think whoever these 3 people are should be disqualified as elves. I would be a little leary if they signed up for the Secret Santa as well. This is not a joke. The elves do allot of great things and it is an honor to be one of them. When you say you are going to do something, you MUST do it. Whatever the reason(s), when you do not follow through it makes the elves look bad. This isn't about making yourself look good on a public forum, it is about helping these poor, unfortunate dogs that need our help. This truly upsets me. Lolo, please tell me what Bonnie and her babies still need and I will either send a care package or gift card.

Awww what adorable puppies, any guess on what dad is?
Sad to hear mum isn't doing too well, HW must suck so hard for you guys! So glad we don't get it here. How does it spread? It can't spread through the uterus like roundworm can it? Hugs and kisses to those ridiculously cute puppers and I hope their mum is feeling better soon and can go back to them.

Only by the bite of an infected mosquito. Thereís no other way dogs get heartworms. And thereís no way to tell if a mosquito is infected. Thatís why prevention is so important.Heartworm disease has been reported in all 50 states. And the bite of just one mosquito infected with the heartworm larvae will give your dog heartworm disease.

These pups will be going to rescue in West Palm Beach Florida in about a week and on to their forever homes.....thank you to all the elves who made their stay with BJ a fun one......Mom will stay in Louisianna with Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue and undergo her treatment for the HW. If she survives, and we all pray she does, then she will be available for adoption and get her second chance.

Lolo, I've had my hands very full with two different foster dogs and haven't had time to get to the post office. But I intend to.

If any of the elves who haven't sent packages yet still intend to do so, please be sure to send them Monday or Tuesday, so they get to their destination this week. I believe they may be going to their new homes soon. Thank you. To all the other wonderful elves who have inquired about doing elvish good deeds - unfortunately, all too soon, there will be other needy cases coming along. Thank you for wanting to be part of this effort!
