Please take a good look at Nika....thrown away from a puppy mill in North Carolina. No longer a good producer she became useless......just one month shy of her 5th birthday. DAN saved this girl and will see she gets the vet attention she needs. Her living pups were given to one of the other lactating bitches and no questions asked....she was handed over......before you buy a puppy please make sure you do your homework....do NOT support the scum who can do this to a dog and not blink an eye......she has never seen a vet, and these pictures show the first time she has touched her feet to grass, so so sad!

I have to tell you that I am more and more disgusted with BYB the more time I spend with Nika. My kids LOVE this dog as soon as we get home they run in and lay with her. She is still eating, drinking and pottying (but boy she can hold it forever) but still sleep most of the day. She truly enjoys my kids snuggling with her! I will post mors pics soon!

Please either adopt or do your research when buying a dog, no dog deserves to be treated like this girl was!

thank you for this! i hope people looking to pay less for a puppy because they dont care about how well bred the dog is see this. its not the fact that breeders have show dogs like the thought is to be, its that they are responsible with the dogs they breed and the pups they home. for every time someone says i cant think of paying more than 400.00 for a dog, this is what you help support.

This is Taya, our baby. we got her last september. we saw an ad on a website for a akc reg. black and rust female doberman 11months old, bred to a 127 lb dog. they wanted 150 for her. i couldnt say no. she sent me a picture of her i had no idea what I was getting into.

She was one of 9 dobermans and 5 old english bulldogs they bred on a regular basis, by regular i mean every time they came into heat. they tried to breed her during her first heat and then again at her second, thank god she never took. she lived her entire life in a 4 panel kennel with another dobe that didnt let her eat or thats what the excuse was. she never got let out she was scared of grass and didnt know how to run. She weighed 35lbs when we got her, her dad was 120 lbs and mom was 85 malnutrition was to blame for sure. she was TERRIFIED of men, her husband was in the marines and lost his temper from time to time is what she told me. yeah ok he definitely kicked this dog. because she had been bred twice and didnt take, she was blessed with our home as her forever home. we spayed her and now she is my obedience demonstration dog and we plan on pursuing agility as well.

Day one before her bath

after a week and a half at our house

Now
"ribs? what are those?"

so when ya'll see a big floppy eared dog, this is who she is miss Taya. sad part is i saw this puppy mill owner advertising doberman pups again, 2 different litters and a litter of bulldogs. I just wish there was something i could do for them. they were nothing more than dollar signs to her. I sent her pics of taya two weeks later and said its amazing what food does to a dog eh?

the best part is she knows we helped her and thanks us every day by greeting us in bed with a big lick and some cuddle time

Our girl, Audrey, was found emaciated and dehydrated, had been used for breeding, had recently given birth and then was let loose for whatever reason...we will never know. Animal control guessed she hadn't eaten in two weeks. This is what she looked like the day she was found. Our girl wasn't socialized and obviously had been kept on concrete, confined and chewing on something that wore her teeth down. Most puppies are cute, but please make sure you check out your breeder and make sure the mother looks like she has been cared for, that she is a part of a loving family.
