2 Year Old Doberman Female Vancouver BC

I am looking for a wonderful home for my almost 2 year old doberman female named Haven. She is black and tan with uncropped ears and a docked tail and is a bit smaller then the average doberman. I am needing to find a new home for her as I am moving to the UK next year and my family can no longer take her when I go. She has the sweetest temperament and loves to get attention and cuddles. She is very high energy so she would need somewhere with a large yard for her to play. She grew up with other dogs and cats so she can go to a home with other animals. She can get anxious and aggressive towards new people but warms up very quickly to them, I have been taking her weekly to a trainer to work on this and she has improved greatly. She would need to go to a home experienced with dogs preferable with dobermans as she has all the classic doberman traits. She has been confirmed to have Von Willebrand disease (VWD) which is a blood clotting disorder. As such she is not fixed as the procedure can be quite risky unless done at vets specializing with the disease and can be quite pricey if done by them. If you are not familiar with the disease they can lead long healthy lives, extra caution just needs to be taken to prevent major injury that would cause her to excessively bleed. I am in no rush to find a home for her I am looking to find a perfect fit where she will be happy and properly taken care of. If you have any questions let me know.

Your best bet would be to contact a good rescue organization...they have the resources to do background checks and evaluate new homes properly to find the best place for your girl. You really have no way to check out people you contact over the internet, even on a forum like this one.

And adopting out a unfixed female dobe to someone you don't know or have the ability to check out properly is risky. There are too many people out there looking for a dog they will simply use as a breeder. Even if your female has vonWillebrand's they might be willing to take the chance to pick up a free or cheap dog somewhere.

It is a plus too for the rescue that you are willing and able to keep her while they try to place her in a new home. You can also ask for help in finding resources that would aid you as you search.
CRDobe and haven like this.
