This is a site that you can go to and adopt a very cute dog and money goes to your local shelter.
They have lots of dobermans many of which have been adopted. The best thing is you can send a picture of YOUR dog and they will make a stuffed one just like it!
Next time I feel the urge to spend money I shouldn't on dog stuff I may spend it on this size (I want a stuffed Dreizehn and Ruthless) instead of more collars, lol
The process is called needle felting. Basically they take an assortment of colorful fibers and, using barbed needles, matt them into the shapes and colors of various animals and objects. Some people do this as just matting and some people will matt around a wire frame so that the resulting figure can also be poseable. (ETA: Its much more time intensive, difficult and detail oriented than sewing a plushy, hence the prices)
Wow, $125 for a custom needlefelt pup? Thats not a bad deal at all. Generally I see customs go for $300+
And those are actually really nice examples of needle felting too! I may have to adopt / commission a couple! <3 I've been wanting to make a needlefelt miniature of my late girl, Liberty, to display with her photos and ashes, but I STINK at needle-felting so far, so I may go through them.
They are gorgeous, and $125 is cheap for needle felting...still, it'll be a flush month in which I can afford that for the lolz. It's a good size too, though (11 x 7, too many I see on Etsy and such are teeny)
These are gorgeous, and very good value for the size! They say on the ordering page you cant order at the moment, so I've signed up for them to let me know when they can.
