Crates and Sizes

I'd like to get a soft sided crate for Sabrina to use when we go to events. I've looked at the Noz to Noz and am wondering if anyone has used them and if so, what size did you get? Has it held up and is it easy to assemble and fold up?

I would also like to get a Vari Kennel for airline travel. Sabrina is 25" square and weighs 63 lbs. Would the 400 size be too small?

Thanks.

She could fit into a 400 but it might be tight. My female (27") and my adult male (29") could fit in a 400. I prefer a 500. For a short car ride, a 400 is fine for them if that is all the fits or you have.

I have the gray nose to nose and it fits 2 Vizslas easily. The Dobes have always had extra room. I'm not sure if I could go a size down tho or not.

I have 5 Noz to Noz soft crates as of current. I really like them, they are easy to set up and tear down, and seem to hold up really well (that doesn't mean a determined Doberman won't get out ). My family had originally bought 2 of the 42" ones, and then bought a third. When I was traveling to a show and trying to travel light we ordered one of the 36" soft crates. To make a long story short we ended up with 2 of them, due to the first one not shipping in time. I use the 36" crates exclusively now. My current dogs sizes are: 24 1/4" - 59 lbs, 25 1/4" -64 lbs, and 26 1/2" ish - around 70. They all use the 36" crates and have no problems, in fact they quite like them! I would say the 36" would be perfect for Sabrina. I also like the fact that the newer Noz to Noz crates (a pale green color) have a very dark mesh, thus it makes it hard for people and other dogs (no dogs charging the crates is a definite plus) to see in, but the dogs can still see out very well.
The only dog we used the 42" crates for after we got the smaller ones was my older dog we had at the time, she was 27 1/2" and weighed in at about 80 lbs. She also was not a very flexible girl, and preferred to lie flat, especially with her arthritis and structure.

Vader has one of the green - Noz ones. It is big. I check the size when I get home.

there's no reason your dog wouldn't fit into a 400 comfortably for a normal daily basis, as berlin is taller than her (but weighs less) - she's 25.5 and 57 lbs and uses a 400 for all her crating - house car shows etc and does perfectly fine - in fact she shares it sometimes with an aussie and rode with the aussie in her crate to KY nationals and was fine.

rah uses a 500 varikennel in the car and we all know how big he is

however, i dont think a 400 would be big enough for the airlines to let you put a doberman in for airline travel - you have to look at the regulations. i havent flown a dog, but i would check.

I'm looking at a couple of Noztonoz soft side crates, too. Glad to know others use and like them!
