Happy 4th of July from Utah

Happy 4th to my DT friends! Including an older photo of Duggan that I have always liked and then a candid one of Bodhi taken yesterday when he turned a big 10 months old.

I can't seem to get my act together to dress them up for the occasion. But we will enjoy the day in the quiet of our backyard and be forever grateful to celebrate of the birth of and the opportunity to live and enjoy this Great Nation.

Thanks Bonnie!

Happy 4th to you and yours.

I broke out the boys' anxiety meds (Clonidine and Trazodone) in preparation for the "Celebration". Ugh...

Hey John, been missing you. We were at the cabin last weekend. Turned out to be a disaster on our part and we had to turn around and come home the next day without accomplishing anything.

Too bad about the fireworks and dogs this time of year. Thankfully I no longer have any dogs affected by them. Years past my Staffybulls would have anxiety to the extent they had to be crated and knocked out cold.

Yeah...

I am going to skip our cabin this year. At least for the time being. I may roll up in September for a few days. I love Montana, Idaho and Wyoming at that time of year. My son and his family, plus 2 of my nephews and theirs are heading over soon. Be a great year to explore the parks with fewer people. Unfortunately, Yellowstone and Grand Teton are not particularly dog friendly. Very strict regs.

And a Happy Independence Day to you and yours too Bonnie--is that Bodhi the one with the American Flag collar? He's looking very nice these days--much more mature.

Both of them? Geeze--Grandpa Toad was very blase' about noise in general.

Actually almost all of my Foxfire guys could have cared less. The only exception was my 1/2 Foxfire boy and he had no problem with noise until he was well over 5. After that (and it was when I was living practically across the street from the old small dirt track behind the horse track where they had fireworks on every Saturday and Sunday night that he took to sleeping in my closet until every thing was quiet again. The Aussie, Henry and Colt were oblivious--I did have a California cat who probably would have preferred to be in Perry's closet but had to settle for hiding under all the blanket at the end of the bed.

Poor guys. They have no idea what the fuss is all about. Could be bullets for all they know and they just hope whoever it is misses.

Bug, the guy by the flag is the old boy Duggan. Bodhi is on the right. Looks like Sept shows entries are open. I may be sending more photos
for you to critique as we start working with him again.

Yeah bug... Both. McCoy didn't care until he was about 3. Nothing else bothers him. Other than that, he never startles. I could vacuum right over him and he would just look at me. My 1yo grandson walked up to him yesterday banging a metal cup with a spoon 6 inches from his head. He didn't even bother to look at him. LOL

Go figure.

I have always thought it was because they had no idea the location of the sound.

I was pretty sure the guy by the flag was Duggan. It was the dawg wearing the red, white and blue collar that I thought was Bodhi--and it was--'cause that was the dog on the right.

he's matured a lot since the last pictures I saw of him.

they are still shutting down shows here.. The Enumclaw shows (usually two specialties, a working group Specialty and either two or three all breeds.) They have definitely cancelled the all breed shows

. Dobe Specialties and Working Group haven't made a decision yet. Or at least they aren't announcing it yet, Normally they are the second week in August.

But we're still waiting to see.
