Any Guess's ???

Well my friends - Time is getting closer and closer to Mr.B.'s new little Sis coming home to us We are beyond excited for that trip down to KY to pick her up .

There was 5 little girls in that littler and have seen pictures of all 5 , Talk about jacking up the puppy fever ! They are all great looking pups and to me - it would not make one difference in what ever one we get .

So I was wondering how Mr. Business will react to little sis ? He is so loving here , you can move him over on the couch or his bed and all he does is moan and groan , don't even look up at yeah , I'm telling the truth here , that would not happen with any of our girls we have had , - lol He was so heart broke over Ali , it was terrible to see him go threw that , he really did just shut down , would just lay around all day , he would walk over the doors and lay down and stare at her grave .

We are getting ready for her now - tape is on order , food , everything we can think of - The Biggy may happen today ! Oh yes my friends - it's time to get her crate out , so Mr. B can get reuse to it , Wife asked what I think he will do when we sit it up ? I told her if I know my son , he will walk around it , smell it , then lift his leg and hose it down , LOL I'm hoping he don't , but it wouldn't surprise either if he did

My prediction on what will happen is he will be super excited and he will not leave her side and when she is crated - he will lay by it , Am I crazy to think this way ?

As we know , she will most likely be hell on wheels and be bugging Mr. B - we will really have to break them in slowly as he is so powerful . As far as the girls , when ever a new pup came here - they were NOT trilled at all , Kasia took all her toys (balls) to another bedroom so Ali could not get to them and even Ali was not all that happen when Bruiser came here .

What are your guess's ??

Have a great day !

btw - ear crop on June 30th , then another 2 weeks - give or take a few either side for a pick up date = Mid July ?

Ken

My guess is Mr. B wil be excited at first and ready to play.
He will play and eventually those sharky teeth will come into play and irritate Mr. B because we all know those teeth hurt.
Although during nap time they will be a couple of snuggle bugs.
Mr B should always go first at eats, play, whatever, Mr. B gets first dibs on everything due to his maturity.
You need Bug to write you a 30-60-90 day plan of action.

LOL! Yeah, just read your guesses as to exactly what will happen when the new gurrrl in town arrives.

Stage one--Kadin will (wait one, I forgot to ask you if Kadin is going along to pick her up so he'll be meeting her away from his home ground). So if it's on her home ground--it's kind of a different story. And if I were doing it I'd leave him at home with a house sitter.)

Because--no matter what your puppy will do in vehicles eventually she'll ride silently for maybe five minute and then she'll cry, and whine and carry on as if she was the saddest girl on earth. And if you take Kedin along he'll join her and they'll cry and wail and carry on together. Her, because she's in a car and going someplace with people she doesn't know yet. And He, Kadin, because he wants to see, smell, touch and taste her because neutered or not--like every other male in the world, DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOUNG SHE IS HE KNOWS SHE'S A G I R L!!!..

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH...poor Ken and Ms Ken.

What happens after that is kind of dependent on whether she's seen big dogs other than her mother. If she's had any experience with males she'll be fine but at that point I start out using an ex-pen to keep the two of them somewhat separated so he doesn't do (what Joey still tries to do to the cats--he play bows at them but his sense of how much space he occupies is enough off that he often play bows on them--that pisses the cats off and they leave in a huff. Often it causes the puppy who is being play bowed at or on to get as pissed of as any cat usually they'll back up barking and sometimes showing their teeth to put Kadin in his place. An x-pen tends to smooth this stage out a bit.

Kadin will probably live inches from who ever is tending to the puppy. And I'd guess that it won't take more than a few days for them to get used to each other and she'll be using him like a big pillow to sleep on.

But, Kenny--I know you know this stuff because you've had other puppies arrive to join your pack when one was an older adult and one was a 'wee' puppy. Dobe puppies get so big so fast they routinely are big enough to hold their own playing with big dogs pretty early. So if you guys make it to 4 months--after that she'll hold her own, small or not it she'll also make it clear that bitches rule (and dogs drool as the saying goes.)

That kind of handles the first 30 AND the first 60 days.

But feel free to pick my brain at any time.

Boy, Ken--if you think you're excited now--wait until you see the expression on Mr B's face when he sees what you brought him.

Kadin will be staying home - At first - we thought about taking him along so Cindy could see him - it's been 5 years since she has and I think she would be very proud of him . But the game changer was pre c-19 days by a few - over at the Vets office , one of the techs had a brand new little Aussie Puppy - Oh god she was so cute as we had Aussie's a long tie ago and we still love them dogs . Well when the tech brought in the puppy , Mr. B was so excited !He stood up on his back legs real slow to smell her and he was shaking all over and looking at us . That did it - lol I told my wife the same thing that Bug said - that trip home could be the longest 2 hours we had took in awhile . lol

The way it looks now is I will make the trip by myself and the Mrs. will look after Kadin as we have nobody to watch him that has not been around the cooties AND that we would trust , Bug - you what to come out and watch him ? I will even let you mow the yard so you don't get home sick

Xpen is ready to go up

As far as names - we have a couple picked out - but trying to come up with a real catchy call name to go with his reg. name . I love her mom's name (Gotcha ) That is a great name to go with a Doberman , anyway to me it is .

Thanks

Doc

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo you have until about mid July....what I'm thinking is, you have plenty of time to break out the old camera and practice, practice, practice, and then practice some more so we can all get plenty of puppy pics. You know those little rascals don't hold still for a second (unless they're sleeping) so you have to get good at capturing fast moving objects.

So happy for you, Ken, and I think Kadin will be just fine, especially once she shows him who's the boss

Well, if it's anything like what happened here with Sypha and Richter...

K will be SOOOOOO excited to meet her. He will play bow and be so overcome with excitement that he'll come on a little strong. And she might be a TINY bit intimidated for...less than a day. And then she will immediately take over ALL HIS STUFF His toys will be HER toys. His bed will be HER bed. His treats will be HER treats. And poor K's life will never be the same again. Half the time he'll wonder what the heck happened, and the other half he'll be SO SO SO happy to have a playmate. (Okay, let's be real...99% of the time SO SO SO happy!).

Honestly, Bug has the way of things...I'd probably control the greeting a bit better next time! But it took Sypha less than a day to completely assert herself here! She was the boss, and Richter just said, yup, that's life with girls! He knew the score And he likes it that way

I admit Kenny, I thought about making the offer--I like the mid-west (even the fringe areas like Indiana) but then I had to figure out what to do with Joey (he was actually easy--he would go and spend extra time with his "other mom"--his breeder who was kind enough to loan him to me. But can you imagine what Kadin would think if some total stranger turned up to dog sit complete with two kitties? I could stick the kitties in the x-pen and Leon would stay (he says he's too old these days, to hop over gates and pens) but Clark would be following Kadin around and trying to mark him (by rubbing his furry body all over Kadin) as HIS Doberman.

I finally got the back yard mowed--it was very long and still quite damp and a bone fide bitch to do so even the prospects of getting to mow a dog yard with something to sit down to do the mowing made me cringe.

Beside--needing to get back to Kadin and Mrs Ken will guarantee an inspiration to make it a quick trip. Even though I wear masks in public and wish more people did and spend most of my time at home (mowing the lawns that like to grow when my back is turned.) and I'm reliable.

Got the notification, by the way, that DPCA has officially cancelled the 2020 National. And Canada had already cancelled theirs. Canada has postponed the 2020 National which will be held in BC in April of 2021 and the 2021 National will be in Calgary in October (I think) of 2021.

The AKC has granted the DPCA the right to have two Nationals in 2021--the first one would be the postponed 2020 National.

Boy is this a different world and getting more different.

Keep us posted Ken--we're all waiting for Kadin's girl (well, and your's too).
