May7! Are you marking the calendar off each day Kenny? It's a good thing you needed to get ready to seed--it'll give you something to think about than the new puppy--hope Gotcha has lots of girls .

Woot Kenny!!!

What a trip. It is so cool that you are being involved from Start to Finish!

Last time I got a pup (McCoy, 5 1/2 years ago), what I got was a phone call from Michelle asking if I wanted a puppy... If so , I had to be 300 mile south at her place in 1 day. I admit, I loved the surprise (it was 2 days before Thanksgiving), but I think your way is a lot better. LOL

Same here, Doc, great to hear about your new pup!

Don't forget to post any pics your breeder sends you, especially for SP's benefit...

Tell Mr. B not to feed too much BS to his new sister or he might regret it when she takes control!

(e.g. Told my DW when we first got married, that in TX, "Wives cut and trim the lawns"....lasted about one lawn cutting, and I've been doing it for last 33 yrs...)

I will tell him SD , But sometimes , Son don't listen to ole dad very well

My office is in our garage , also is our ER for any dog problems , Someway , a mouse will get under the door I guess , we got one this morning and Mr. Business was all business - working back and forth along the door - We have a storage box by the door + I have traps behind it - we knew he would get it to run and then get into the trap , which it did . The whole time , I was thinking , If his sister was here - that working can turn into a zoo real quick , lol

If I get pics , I will be sure to post them up , for sure

Yes it is Pam , but also a very trying time to boot ! As I have said before , they sell most to show homes , sometimes there may be one that is still a looker - yet they may not think it will do great in the ring - that is in my words , not the breeders ))

So here's the deal - they all live - then we get a pup , if they lose one , most likely we won't .

I just got a text from CLS with a picture of the puppies - I have a 1910 flip phone and the picture is very , very small -can't tell for sure , but to me , I count B & R and a Red one.

So will wait and see what happens

Awwww Kenny,

So exciting for you. Just keep in mind the old saying "Dogs drool, bitches rule..." It won't make any difference if Kadin's new little sis weighs 60 pounds less than him and has her ears in posts--by the time she's been there for 10 days Kadin will no longer be sayin' "Yes, boss I'm on it!" He'll be sayin' "She won't let me!."

Keeping fingers crossed that the show prospects don't do you out of your girl. (Truly--even the very best of litters are lucky to get a couple of real prospects.)

What's the litter theme--do you know yet?

Oh Bug - you speak good words of wisdom - LOL When Kadin came here - I was worried about him being so much bigger than Ali , CLS told us not to worry , Ali would take care of herself and boy did she - LOL She set high standards for my son and she taught him well .

True story here ! it may have been a month before Ali left us - she would lay on the floor at the bottom of the step that comes down here in the garage - Poor boy would stand at the top and cry and cry - He would not try to jump over her , around her , anything , I would be setting here at the desk and look over at poor boy , then say Ali ! Let him out here , she would slowly get up , he would run out here a hundred miles a hour , then she would lay back down - She was showing him she was still the boss ! Same thing if he wanted in the house and she was laying there . Oh Ali girl - she sure had him buffaloed - lol

You know Bug - We had always had females here and never once seen them act that way to each other - but when Mr. B showed up , there would be teeth showing and 99.9 % time - My poor boy didn't do anything wrong ! I would just give him a pat and tell him , I know how you feel son , its just the way it is .

Dang Bug - I about had CRS here , I have not heard of the theme yet - I have already sent to many questions to Cindy - I start them out with its the PIA again - LOL

I did notice I forgot to put up the numbers for B&R pups - I counted 6 and a Red one , I sent the text with the picture to Spocksdad - maybe he can post it up , My 1910 flip won't let me do it .

Capri was boss around here too.

But Kip was a smart sneaky sort of thing. He would give her a sour look when she was on the couch in the "best" spot, then stalk over to the sliding glass door and bark.

Little Miss No-Self-Control would run over to see what was out there...and he would take her spot on the couch.

You all know I keep dogs and not bitches but dog sit and from time to time I have a bitch--one of my favorites was here during the summer for several years in a row when her owner a college professor took her students on trips related to whatever it was they were studying then she would come to me and stay for many weeks--a short trip was 4 weeks but some of them were 6 weeks or the entire summer.

It took her 1 full day to establish that she was the boss and she'd not be having any revolts in the troops. I'd say "Scout? What on earth do you think you are--the General in charge of everything. I'd look at Rumor and say "Well what do you say about that--I thought you were boss dog." He'd look at me with distain and say--"Scout's the General--I'm second in command! Pay more attention..."

However--it still remained the case that my smallest, oldest cat--a brown tabby who came with me from California when I moved back to the PNW ran the house--no one had more status, in dogs or cats than she did.

And now I have mowed the front yard too. And I think I got done just in time--it's clouding up as if we were in the midwest--huge big cumulonimbus building up on the horizon. I'd have felt really dumb if I'd keep potting stuff (which is what I was doing until my next door neighbor asked me if I was really going to mow the lawn or just admire my new mower until I got rained on.) DUH!!!

ABTLH

LOL Princess - Know what you mean - I received one pic the day after they were born - But I have a 1910 flip phone and really couldn't see to much other than there is one Red in the group , Maybe counted 7 total .

Hope to get a few more photos in the days to come and a puppy theme for names .

I did receive a message that if they all live then we will get one and that's all I have heard , I know she is a very , very , very busy gal and I don't want to be a PIA to her - but probably already am

PB - If you haven't yet - you need to check out Journal of a Frist time Breeder on here - By Artie ! The last few pages are Puppy overload ! Artie has did a great job posting up pictures of her new crew !
