DoberGroan

Or moan, maybe...
Lol, you're probably like, uuuuh whatchoo talkin bout, gamer?

Zeus moans and groans, and for the life of me I can't tell if it's a positive or negative sound! For instance, he'll be on the couch next to me, half asleep, and he looks so cute I can't help but to rub his ears and snuggle him. Cue grumble rumble from Zeus. Is it a groan of, "ooomg I love you so much and ear rubs feel so good!" Or one of "Omg mom leave me alone" lol!

He sometimes mumble grumbles when he's told to do something he doesn't want to do as well, but I know that one's more like a "Fiiiiiine, ugh!"

Does anyone else's doberman do the whole grumble/groan thing? So vocal!

Yes! Spock will do the Dober version of a "purring" when he is sleeping in a Doberball on sofa next to me and I pet and scratch his neck. It's a very low, deep rumble he lets out after each touch by his human....

When settling down for sleep, Spock makes his circle nesting manuever and when finally down, lets out a long moan sound, indicating how hard his daily life is as a Dobe....

I don't know if you can hear Kip moaning here--it's on the quiet side--but that is what mine would do when I wanted them to make room on the bed for me.

Yep, moans and groans and grumbles are a daily thing.

I am the sea witch. I am the tide you fear and the turning you can't deny. I am the sound of the waves running over your bones on the beach, little man, and I am not amused at finding you on my doorstep.

The girls always moaned and groaned for any reason - ear rubs - tail head rubs - belly rubs - any kind of rub . Now the only time Mr. B does it , when he won't move over in bed and I then ------------------------ Attempt to move him over - Talk about moans and groans

How about Dreams ???????????? Boy , Mr. B had a bad one last night ! I did very lightly shake him a little - he let out a deep breath and back to sleep , LOL

BTW - Neighbors dog was in our back yard and ran across our field , headed back to his house .

About half of my Dobes moaned and groaned about everything--likes and dislikes. One of the long ago Dobes snored and one of the current cats does too.

And all of them have had bad dreams from time to time--cats, Dobes, Aussie and Afghan.

I have always slept with my dobes and i love that groan they give when it is last big groan as they get comfortable for a long nights rest. It is especially good sound to me when they are young and growing and rest their head on your body.

Nadia does the moans and groans and grumbles and the occasional protest if I ask her to get down from the bed so I can slide in.
She's also a big dreamer, and it makes me smile because she barks with her mouth closed while dreaming, and I can tell (or make a good guess as to) what she is dreaming about based on her bark pattern.
