Bluegrass Doberman Rescue

Hello All-
Bluegrass Doberman Rescue was one of my sponsored Rescues of 2019 by our DT Rescue Elf project. I follow their FB page and very recently, within the past week, they've taken on a pregnant Doberman when the owner reached out to them for help. The story is long and convoluted, but the gist of it is that this mama couldn't walk on her hind legs when the owner started seeking help. Well, she is VERY ill, hanging in there though, had 13 puppies, 8 of which died, the other 5 doing good now and eating. The Rescue has incurred lots of expenses, and they are still sticking by her side. Her name is Josie, and I would like to encourage you to go to their facebook page and read her story. If it is within your means, I'm sure they could use all the help you can spare.

Love you all-
Peace-Love and Dobermans

Update on Josie. Sadly today was her last. They had to make the heart breaking decision to let her go. She had MRSP and could not recover. It really drives home the fact that breeding is a responsibility that you can not just decide to do.... Or just be responsible and spay or neuter your pets...... Or, do you have the means to handle any and all outcomes that may arise when something goes wrong. This has been so frustrating for me to follow. I feel very saddened and wanted so bad for her to be okay. Seems like life is all about cleaning up collateral damage of folks who don't know any better or who won't do any better. Sorry to ramble.

Pamie -- You have a heart of gold !

When we did the Rescue at Christmas - Steel and his story really touched me - And I think about that poor guy . But Dax reported is it in his forever home till his days are up - which is a very good thing .

I totally understand your feeling for Josie - Like Aunt Bug says , She's where all good dogs go - So sorry to read this
