How dare spring be already showing up at your place...we've got months to go!

They do grow fast, don't they?!

Hey Mel,

This winter has been so mild (although very wet) in the PNW that the first of the daffodils bloomed today.

However--we will pay for this (this was the 50 degrees up to upper 50's sometimes recently ) with a big fat temperature drop which started this evening. This morning when I took the puppy out--the wind felt positively warm (even if it was raining on us) but for the last half hour the furnace keeps kicking on trying to keep up with the rapidly decreasing temperature.

Brrrrr....

I don't know about further north, but here on the Gulf Coast, we have a couple of days of spring, nine months of summer, two months of "The devil would like his weather back, please", a couple of days of fall, and then about a week of winter.

I remember that....10 months of "Turn up the air conditioner, will you?", a few nice days in the "fall", a week or two in "spring", and one dark gray wet rainy freezing month.

40 degrees and raining is much much colder--bone-chilling--than 20 with the sun out.

Here, it got up to 64 today.

Predicted for the next few days:
Sunday--high 64, low 26
Monday--high 30, low 5, up to 7 inches snow
Tuesday--high 8, low -1

Guess I better take Hairy on a LONG walk tomorrow, because I probably won't want to stick my nose out for a few days after that.

I thought I could see some green in your pics, tex. It may have just been my green-eyed jealousy, though. Oh, to have a dobe puppy again--give her a snuggle for me.
