Cold Nights in TX = A 2-1/2 Dog Night

Not quite a 3-dog Night... (Dobes + Lanah)

Temps here in San Antonio running 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. Had our first light freeze this morning.

Since our Dobes are seniors and I'm retired, we transitioned them out of crates over last year and let them sleep in MBR with their humans.

Normal setup is Spock and Lanah on foot of bed and Eva on dog bed adjacent to my side of bed.
Yesterday evening, after lots of activty outside and cold wx, here's what I saw...

Spock & Lanah Out Cold in Cold Wx

(Note - My DW "taught" Spock to sleep on a pillow- he has his own travel pillow....)

People Always Comment About Spock's Large Feet - Exhibit 1 !
(Fritos anyone??)

They look quite comfy and content

I went to Lackland AFB for basic training in early December 1982 and coming from Cleveland, I was thinking I was getting away from the winter climes and boy was I wrong. I remember ice on the ground.

He's so adorable!

And WHY do their feet smell like Fritos, anyway? I never could figure that out. (Now I've admitted I smelled my Dobe's feet...)

Lannie, here's a previous post by Mel, (in one of many DT Doberfarts threads), with external link, indicating Frito Feet on Dobes is from yeast infection... (ours Dobe paws have always smelled that way)

Great Photos SD!

Hmmm I did not know about the Frito feet!?! Or if I did - did not associate the smell as fritos!

Well, who woulda thunk it? I would never have guessed yeast, but it makes total sense. That stuff is everywhere! Thanks for the info!
