Creed + Friends + Updates

It's been just shy of one year since my friends rescued Suvie, the senior doberman abandoned after her former owner "was hospitalized" (and possibly passed on). Suvie is now 9.5 years old and is loving life! We've had a couple of scares with her where we thought maybe her time had come, but she keeps on chugging along and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Suvie, the day she was rescued.

And Suvie, now, happy in her home.

She and Creed are best buddies! We call Creed her boyfriend because she's a shameless flirt with him. They especially love running around in the fields together, rolling in mud puddles, and splashing in the creek. How romantic.

We had a "doberman party" during Suvie's owners' couple's shower (they got married this weekend!!!) and we got to finally meet another dobe owner on here and their dog. Creed was enamored by this young girl who was desperate to play with him.

Creed did go to the wedding with me and he got lots of compliments and was able to wiggle at bride and groom on their special day. It was lovely seeing such a happy occasion with two of my good friends! There'll be pictures of us eventually but right now of course the photographers are focusing on getting pictures of the couple themselves done.

Suvie is a pretty girl for sure. Creed's not so bad himself It's nice to hear that Creed and she are such buddies. But.....

You said Creed + friends in your title.

I for sure expected some pictures of the snaky variety.

Private info, I guess, but you've piqued my interest. "...we got to finally meet another dobe owner on here and their dog..."
Hmmmmm....the wheels are turning in my head.

More like, after the brain injury I don't remember usernames vs real names anymore The mystery user had Elka, but this is Rika, her new baby, in the photos.

Snake updates when they're out of quarantine (90 days from purchase, so in a couple weeks!) and yes in a different thread to give people like poor MC a break from slithery friends.

I want to say that might be GingerGunlock? She hasn't posted in a while...

And I always appreciate how thoughtful you've been about warning posts about the snakes...you've even been nice on FB about sending me a heads-up! I have a pretty serious phobia about them, so it's very appreciated!

I remember They're a common phobia, so I always try to make sure people have every opportunity to look away before being surprised by photos of snakes. Trigger warnings and all. What I don't understand is when people who don't like snakes look at my clearly marked "HEY THERE'S SNAKES HERE" posts (on all social media) and decide to say something about how they don't like snakes and would like to kill my pets. If ya don't like em, ya don't have to click, yanno?

Now that I've figured out how to hide posts from certain people on FB, I've stopped messaging you, because I try to just keep them off your wall anyway Some probably slip through when I forget, but I do try to keep them hidden from you.

I've always appreciated how thoughtful you are about that. I do know it's my issue, and I have other friends with snakes who do share pictures occasionally and I'm good about just scrolling really fast!, but it's really nice to just not have to see them if I don't have to I really understand, in my head, that there's no reason to be afraid, and all of that, but....the rest of me just doesn't react that way at all. I think I've gotten a TINY bit better about being able to see photos, but that's about it.

Anyway, enough of derailing the thread, LOL!

Kind of like I know that, statistically speaking, I'm safer flying on a commercial jet for a cross country trip than driving the same distance in a car. That doesn't change the fact that I'd rather be in a car for three days than a plane for three hours.

And my animal freak out is those giant tree roaches we have down here in Texas. Ugh... I'd rather see a mouse.
