Meadowcat , is there anyway you can post up the whole story on your visit ? I’m not on Facebook
Ken, this is what they shared online:
Recently our Optage team was introduced to Al Quie, Folkestone - a Senior Living Community resident & former MN Governor, during a new client visit. While visiting with Al, he requested a dog volunteer…but it couldn’t be any dog, it had to be a Doberman (Al used to have Dobermans himself and they’re his favorite 🐶
. With no Doberman volunteers, we reached out to Pastor Chris Wheatley to see if he’d be willing to visit Al with his Doberman. Pastor Chris immediately said YES!
My husband has known Al a couple of years, as he has lived in Presbyterian Homes before going on hospice, so Chris has had the pleasure of knowing him as a resident for a while. He's a lovely, lovely man. He couldn't be nicer. When we went for the visit, he talked so much about his Doberman, and what a great dog she was, the best, smartest dog he's ever owned. Wonderful with his kids, etc etc. He adored Richter, really admired him a lot.
