2020 Dobermantalk Calendar July Entries - Dobes in Water!

Okay everyone...the July 2020 theme is Dobes in Water!

Also, please note we have placed a "sticky" in this forum with the themes for each month for 2020. This will give everyone a chance to get prepared with their photos!

PLEASE NOTE THESE CHANGES TO THE CONTEST RULES: Submissions will be open for the next 10 days (until July 18th 2019, 5:00 P.M. EST.) To enter, simply embed your photo in your post as a response to this thread. Also, this year we will be allowing people who win in one month to also enter and win in another month. So you will have two chances throughout the year to enter your photos!

Size of photos to submit in this thread MUST BE 640 x480 or less.

However, the original picture must be approx 3000 x 2000 pixels to enable it
to be large enough to print full size on the calendar. It must also be your own photograph. If you need help resizing or posting your image, contact a moderator and someone will help you.

Once the entries have closed, a moderator (different each month) will select the TOP 10 pictures.

These 10 pictures will then be voted on by the Dobermantalk members by way of a poll and the photo with the greatest amount of votes will be the winner. The poll will be posted for 5 days only.

One entry only per member.

Again, please re-size your photo to the appropriate dimensions before posting it. We have had some complaints about large photographs being posted and we need to keep it to a standard in order to be fair for everyone. If you need help resizing a photo or posting it please don't hesitate to PM a moderator.

Let's see those photos!

So I'm thinking my role is to start calendar threads off with a sorta joke picture just to get you guys to post your own real entry pictures.

So this is my "Dobes in water" shot--

He IS in water--about the only kind he would even get into.

Not an entry, but had to share!

We bought Newtie a cute kiddie pool. It lasted all of four days. Turned into a giant drinking bowl. We could bribe him to get in, but getting out was the best part!

Mel/Ma,

He obviously preferred comfy water on a hot day!

Does it really matter what kind of water it was?

My Dobes wouldn't touch a bathtub. They only liked puddles to wallow in.

Also not an entry (we've already won twice), but this is one of the first times Sypha was willing to start trying out the water. She's better now. She doesn't swim the way Richter does, but she'll go farther in

I've got a few great ones of Kady at the river last year, here's my beautiful 7 year old girl

The 640x480 crop kinda sucks (it doesn't match the 3:2 crop that they're requesting for print), but rest assured I have a much better crop in 24MP (6000X4000p).

Looks like some of you are having trouble posting pictures??

It's easiest to use an online photo host...we have a tutorial about how to use Flickr to post a picture here:

What river is that? The water is so clear!

The photo was taken on our yearly pilgrimage to Lake Mohave (Katherine's Landing) on the NV/AZ border. They remembered her each year and were happy to see her whenever we came around

She absolutely loved the water, and chasing the waves made by the boats' wakes on the beach. She had a great time also doing standing dives at the bigger fish It was quite the thing to watch!
