Snoot Massages

Hey all. I was enjoying some hugs and cuddle time with Whiskey and it occured to me that it might be odd that he loves snoot massages so much! Do your long nosed friends also like to be squeezed about the snout? If so do you all have pictures? I love a dobe nose <3

That's a cute picture! Yes, I can believe a Doberman would love that treatment and attention, in fact, any attention for that matter....

There was a previous DT thread (at least a year ago) about an owner who nibbled on their Dobes lips and the dog loved it. Several other Dobe owners then came "out of the jowl nibbling closet" so to speak, and also posted. It was hilarious, almost as if they should have formed an addictive behavior support group....

I'm trying my hardest to dig it up using the search engine, but no luck so far. It meshes right in with your "Snoot Massage" thread....

Man, I've been using the DT search engine like a Dober zoomie and haven't been able to find the "Lip or jowl nibbling" thread/post...

It's quite possible, due to the odd subject nature of the thread, it was deemed too bizarre, even for us Dobe obsessed owners?
(like those odd fetish reality shows that I refuse to watch.... e.g. "I consume 100 Bounce dryer sheets daily..")

Maybe it was "moved behind the DT curtain", so to speak?.....

---------------------------------------------------------------

In any case, while searching, I did run across a similar thread about Dober kisses....including French....

Snoot massages were a thumbs down for Newton.

That's it, MB, your the greatest DT Mod, ever!!!
(never hurts to lavish the praise, when deserved....)

I was searching for "nibble", "lip", "jowl" but not "jowls".
The DT Advanced Search engine is handy but very limited (can I say... it sucks?)

What's interesting is, all that the participants remembered this "rather unusual" thread from many months past.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

And for the record, I want to emphatically state:

Yes, biting Dobe cheeks is weird, but so is smelling Dobe "Frito Feet"
Whenever I do smell the Dobes feet, I offer them to the DW for a bonus sniff, which she declines and states that I'm a weird one........

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Professional Note: Our great vet Tessa, smelled our mutt Lanah's infected feet during exam earlier in year to help assess condition of her foot inflammation. Upon seeing this, my DW and I laughed and related to her about Dobe Frito feet smelling, and myself always sniffing them. I think our vet might be a potential Dobe owner?
