Post-training shenanigans

Nadia did wonderfully today in training. Our obedience sesh was very short, but she is doing well in protection and I'm super pleased with how she is performing on escapes and long bites. Well centred and full bites, and it is a hoot to watch her parade around with the sleeve once she has 'won' it. She canters around the field comes back to show me then jets off again.

Anyway after training, she got to hang out with and play with her two Euro friends (or more accurately, her Euro friend and the Euro teen who annoys her ). Just wanted to share these photos of happy Dobes with you all.

You would think but... let's just say I don't think she will have any trouble passing her endurance test (AD) next week. Will report back in a few hours

I love her more than I could possibly put into words, with every cell, chamber and vessel in my heart and with every drop of blood in my body.

Some nice heelwork photos!

Wonderful photos! You can see how much she loves the training. Those girls, with their intense focus and desire to please, are amazing partners.

Beautiful Dogs!

Question.

Why can they play in the yard puddles, but be such a pain to get into a tub?

That goes for non Dobe dogs, too!

Ahaha I can't answer that my girl is actually pretty good about the tub. She doesn't adore it. But I suspect maybe it has to do with the texture/lack of grip in a tub when compared to dirt and mud?

It is always such a thrill and a real pleasure to work with them, even on the days when they humble you one way or another. I often hear people say that the boys are more loving and affectionate... and yet Nadia smothers me with love and her devotion is evident... I think it's because with the girls perhaps you have to work for it and earn it - but if you do they will always try to give you their 200%. Every time I step on the field I ask myself "how can I be worthy of my amazing partner today?".
