Nadia earned her SPOT this weekend!
She nearly had the SPOT-ON (Outstanding Neighbour) as she earned an Outstanding rating on 9 out of the 10 stations. The one where she didn't she got a Super (second highest rating) and the only reason was because of a fluke occurrence on the setup. The judge even said that for the actual exercise she was excellent, it was just that she felt she couldn't give us an Outstanding due to the time involved with the setup. (Nadia thought she was doing her job by pointing to the very strange stuff that was going on behind us just outside the ring).
She took Canadian bred Doberman Pinscher in all four shows, but since this was a fun class, no points. She took second in her 4 Adult Female classes, mostly due to my terrible handling skills and 'contradictory' training. Or, in the Judge's words "she's in love with you and won't stop looking at you which is great for the free stack, terrible for the move, especially on the up and down"
Still, she just thought she was doing her best so I can only be proud of her for always trying her hardest for me. At the end of the day I can't fault her for being so... focused and engaged. And what's love if not a dog willing to snuggle up with you and camp overnight in the back of a mini van?
Next week there is the IGP seminar at the club, and we will try for our Canine Good Neighbour!
Oh and her Advanced Cardiac OFA results are now online! Yay!
