MeadowCat Coats : )

It was brought to my attention that there is a Dobermantalk policy that you can not advertise for yourself - probably a good idea -

But here is my problem - Were not on facebook - twitter or totter or any of them - So Doc got to thinking ! Can I ask anybody that has a MC coat , sweater or Hoodie coat , post up a picture of them - I pulled up a few last night for the Wife to see - But she said she would like to see more of them - they are spread all over the past - So I thought - It would be easier if they were posted on one tread = Doc -- your a genius !

Just a reminder here MC - You can't post any of your pictures up

So DT member's post away ! Would like to see one with the hood + the sweater type

Thanks !

Doc

I have 4 Fido fleece coats that are still in great shape..... which is why I've never needed to buy an MM coat - they do look really nice. It's my understanding that Fido fleece is no longer around..... so if I need another coat, I know where to look!

I have 3 Fidofleeces, and 6 MBMs (with another on the way!). The Fidofleeces are a little thinner than my MBMs. I think it's awesome to just go searching through fabric on a fabric site like Joann fabric or fabric.com and just pick whatever I want, ask Nicole to order it and have it made for me. Fidofleece had very little choice in the way of patterns. I absolutely love my plain black Fidofleece with the leopard-look collar but the other two are simply ok, just what I could find available at the time.

I thought you'd never ask, Ken

The first 2 pics are MBM coats we got Mocha when she was around a year old, she outgrew those pretty darn fast

And these are the two she currently has.

She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader.
She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion.

Love my Made by Meadowcat coats....warm in wintery weather, easily washed, cozy for an older dog to wear around the house, yet flexible and comfortable enough for outside action.

Fidofleece is a now defunct dog coat company, apparently. MBM is Made By Meadowcat. Speaking of which, here are more ...

BTW, if anyone is interested, the leopard is Richter's mom, Moxie, and the black male in that post is Richter's uncle Royal. The tiger is Richter's grandmother, the red boy in camo is Copper, and the black girl is Ricther's sister, Wicca. I just figure everyone here knows who Richter is!

Dexter has quite a few MBMs, and I absolutely love them, but I still don't know how to post pics here. Roxy had a ton as well. She was cold most of the time so she wore hers often. Dexter only wears his when it's REALLY cold. My absolute favorite is his Elf MBM. Makes me smile every time he wears it.

For wet snow/super cold, we have this one for Dexter - https://www.amazon.com/Weatherbeeta-.../dp/B009BQWBCY.

When we first got Roxy, I knew very little and thought she was going to grow. She never did, but the result in that was a rain coat from chilly dogs that was super big on her, but fits Dexter quite well. https://chillydogs.ca/product/rain-slicker/

Thank you! Yes, it's mine and those were our first MBMs. <3

Pictures of Roxy are still so tough for me. Especially pre-Wobblers pictures. Ugh, sorry, I don't want to bring this thread down.

So that picture was October 2012 - six years ago. It's crazy that it's been that long. I still remember picking out the fabric, getting the fleeces in the mail and then laughing hysterically while trying to take pictures of them with their snoods on. At the risk of sounding completely cheesy, these aren't just fleeces, they are amazing bundles of memories. <3

Well, that's an easy one! Here in middle TN, we have no need for waterproof coats since Miss Mocha is convinced she'll melt in the rain. Heck, she doesn't even like walking on the grass in the morning if there's dew on it. You know, the patented Doberman 3-legged stance?

Oh yeah - lol I have seen that look as well -- The other day , we had a ice storm come threw - I had ice melt down and saved the patio - I let Ali out and she pace around on the patio - would walk right up to the edge - and put her paw on the icy grass , pull it back , back up , turn and look at me - lol After about 5 minutes , she walked back to the grass and then jumped over into the grass - I guess she thought it was only at the edge of the patio - then she froze - and looked back at me again - I was laughing and told her she was on her own - That poor dog would not move - finally she got brave and walked on it . they sure are funny sometimes .

Thanks for posting the ones with Hoodies !

Come on DoberPeople - Post up them pictures and any other winter wear you use - Wife told me the Kids need new coats for this winter and to get on the ball !

BTW- Being we live in Indiana - we get different weather ever 5 minutes here - what coats are you using for rain and snow that are water proof ??

Thanks again for all the pics and Ideas ! I may have to Add Joann Fabrics to my favorites list - lol AND no wisecracks either Lady Di !
We layer a Weatherbeeta (the ones with the chest wrap) over a fleece. They are super warm, very durable, water resistant...and not super expensive. I highly recommend them. These are the ones I have:

https://www.amazon.com/Weatherbeeta-...eta+chest+wrap

It looks like Amazon is currently out of the size I have, but there are TONS of places to get them. Very reasonably priced most places.

My boy Apollo loved his Chilly Dog fleece. They were his 'jammies' and he LOVED to wear it. They kept him nice and warm - he was a very delicate flower, lol.

Chilly Dogs

I have been looking at the MCM's and feel as though my credit card might be having an 'accident' soon

You guys are too funny. MC can't even quit her day job and run her coat business full time!

But she DOES love seeing all the fun fleece that everyone picks...very, very fun!
