Doberman mailbox

Not sure where to put this, but in case you need a mailbox, here 'tis!

Unique Handmade Doberman Pinscher Dog Mailbox

They have red ones too, and I'm sure they could paint them blue and fawn if asked.

Would probably be more effective than an 'ADT' sign....The electric co has their meter readers call when they are in the driveway to make sure my two are inside (the meter can be read from the other side of their fence). He doesn't need to know that they'd show a robber to the valuables for the price of a treat....

I have a mailbox topper of a dobe on my mailbox.
Basically it's a silhouette of a dobe.
My husband saw it at a show and had to have it!

Cute idea. But it looks a little too tacky/corny for my mailbox.

Sometimes they don't! I just had to pass along this story. Seems there was a guy with a telephone pole at the end of his driveway. The road was being widened a bit and the phone company wanted to move the pole, but it would take a ton of work to move it back about 5 feet. So the guy suggested they just saw it off at about 4 ft and he'd use it for a mailbox pole and the company could put in a new pole, which was much easier. And that's what was done.

The guy put a mailbox on the now sawn off pole and a week later at about 2am they were woken up by a tremendous sound. Sure enough, a bunch of kids had been driving down the road, one hanging out the passenger side with a baseball bat hitting the mailbox plinths. The came up on this one little mailbox on a round little pole, the guy in the passenger seat leans way out to get a good hit and with the car going about 35 mph, he swings and.....

True story from about 10 years ago.

Did my heart good!! We didn't know at the time we bought our house, but our next door neighbors turned out to be a cross between Deliverance and the Beverly Hillbillies. The day we moved in, they were so mad that the house had been sold, and the former tenants had moved out, that they drove their car into our mailbox stand and knocked it down. We've been the best of friends (NOT) for 12 years now. Still waiting for the karma payback thing to happen... I just want to be there to see it. (No, that's not all they've done - that was kid mischief.)

their pawprints in our hearts never fade
