8-9 month female @ 45 lbs help

Hello, All comments, concerns and advice welcome.

I bought a female Doberman runt from a farmer North of the city I live.
She seems to be in good health except for that she is 8-9 months old now and only weighs 45 lbs. I have looked through the forums and have not read of a doberman at this age being this light. She doesnt seem interested in foor and I have switched food three times. The current one she likes more but still only eats a bowl full a day. She never seems hungry. Am I right to be concerned?

It depends on how tall/big she is. Can you share a picture of her?

I will get a photo of her online this evening (I'm at work ATM)
I would say she is 23-24" at the whithers (front foot to the top of the shoulder?)
Will confirm in two hours

I don't think that's too bad then. My male Vizsla is 23.5-23.75" and 48lb full grown. If she's that big at 8 months that doesn't sound too bad.

My Toula is almost 6 years old and only 50 pounds - your girl may just be petite.
Does she seem skinny or unhealthy looking?

My 1.5 year old is only 50lbs. It's more about appropriate size on her frame than weight in pounds. If Mac were 65 pounds (according to the charts you are probably looking at, that's how big she "should" be) she would be morbidly obese.

My girl is full grown at 2yrs old and she weighs 59lbs, but she's smaller in her withers measurement by a fair bit. She's just a little girl. She's verging on delicate looking to be honest. She doesn't eat very much.

However please keep in mind that Doberman growth plates close at 18mos-2yrs roughly. So your lady is still growing!

Has she been treated for worms?

But I suppose we'll need a picture to see what she looks like!

When we went to the shelter to at look at Lexi, we had only seen a head shot of her. When we walked in we both were quite surprised by her size. She is 21" tall and weighs 45 lbs. Her brother was abandoned with her and he was a regular size boy. She is very petite. When people meet her for the 1st time they ask her age, I can't just say 4, I have to say 4 years old. They think she's a pup. It's ok with us, we think she's beautiful.

In my opinion, Weight depends on how tall she is. My Ash weighs 57 LB's and he is 26.5 inches to Shoulders. He is 19 months old now.

When did you de-worm her recently?
