Hagan had a stroke! :(

We had the scare of our lives thinking that we'd lose our sweet boy! We took him to the ER on Sunday, after speaking with his cardiologist on the phone (his regular vet is out of town), where we were told that it could be a brain mass. After seeing a neurologist a couple of days ago (the soonest appointment we were able to get), everybody agrees that it was probably a CVA - because of the sudden onset of neuro symptoms and subsequent recovery. We've done so much crying, thinking of the worst, but now are relieved seeing his progress. Never lose hope!

The lucky dogs survive a CVA (which isn't really a stroke but a cardiac failure) so talk to the cardiologist about future treatment (meds and rechecks).

If it were my dog I'd consider an early Christmas present from Hagan. Scary or not--at least he's still with you. I hope for many more years.

Omg!! Hugs and kisses to you and Hagan. What a scary thing to happen.

I'm going to put out good energy, juju and whatever else we need for your handsome lovey.

Just love and hug that boy as much as you can. Love is a strong medicine.

Wow thank goodness Hagan is ok! Hopefully there won't be any more strokes in the near future.
